This is the story of my lost phone.
*Make sure you stop, listen, and be obedient when God sends the Holy Spirit to Guide You.
He makes life a lot easier! God is so Good!

The Mound City Fair board asked Karley Owenby and I to help carry the sponsor flags for their Rodeo Friday August 9th! After the Rodeo we loaded the horses up in the trailer.
I sat my phone on the passenger side of our trailer while visiting with our kids and put Kayla in her carseat. Then started driving slowly home, it was dark. Pete called my phone no answer, so he called Karley's phone. She tells him we are on our way home. We are a little ways past Mound City High School. After we get off the phone with Pete we all panic and call my phone but we can't hear it. The kids want me to turn around to find it. Since it is really dark outside I think that is hopeless.
* I have prayed for a year or two that God would make me sensitive to his Holy Spirit to guide me through my life.
*Right there God had Pete Owenby call to let me know that I had left my phone on the side of the trailer. If I would have just been obedient, pulled over to look we would have found it.
I assumed my phone had already fallen off.
I just wanted to focus on getting the horses and us home safely.
I went back back up the next morning and searched the fairgrounds and along the road leading out to 7 hwy. I talked to the sweet ladies cooking breakfast in the 4H building about my phone and the sheriff's office.
My Mom Hazel Byington drove over and walked along my route looking for my phone!
I felt like I would find my phone because it would still ring when I called it, the battery died Saturday 10th in the afternoon.
On Sunday after Church everone in our family except Kayla took turns walking along the road ditch while the others road in the truck. We walked over 5 miles it was very hot and still no phone. On the 12th I called all the business and the High School spoke to Kim U about my phone. It rained several times last week.
*** Sunday August 18th, 9 days Later Juanita R. Bartko husband finds my phone outside their bedroom window by a bench with the Otter box defender case halfway off! Well you can imagine the thoughts they were having! So they charge my phone and see the picture with my family and I! I am so grateful Juanita made a post on Facebook asking if anyone knew the family on the phone! Thank you to everyone who tagged us in the post! We were busy and didn't see the post. So Kim Umphenour sent Karley a pm which she saw and let her know that my phone had been found!! Kim gave Juanita Karley's phone number! She called us to visit, got her address and drove 3-4 miles North of our house to pick up my phone!
Keep in mind my phone fell off on the West side of the road with tall grass and their home is on the East side of 125th street. I can't believe my phone stayed on the side of our trailer for at least 20 miles!!
Juanita was very nice and she told us that her Huge Great Pyrenees ZEKE (meaning God Strengthens, he is a Shepherd type dog, Jesus is our Shepherd) must have found my phone and brought it up to her house!!! ZEEKE could have easily crushed my phone in 1 bite. My phone and the case was not damaged at all! Zeke was extremely excited to meet me and I wish I didn't get poison ivy so easily because I would have hugged that dog. Instead I just scratched his massive head that was as tall as my chest! I feel so Blessed to have my phone back with 3 years worth of family pictures and memories that I will be getting printed out! Scrap booking is going to be our new hobby this winter!
I give Praise to God, ZEEKE, and all the wonderful people who spent the time looking and helping me find my phone!!
