🐎 Horse Riders Wanted! 🐎

We are looking for part-time riders to come to our farm & do various duties, including riding horses, testing them out, exercising them, bathing them, cleaning stalls, etc.. We have horses of all sizes but mostly draft breeds. Reliable transportation & a strong work ethic are a must! Riding & horse handling experience are required. Mainly, we are looking for riders who are brave, willing, & open to learning. English experience is a bonus!

We are fine with school-age riders working over the summer with parents' permission. It would be a great opportunity for them! Compensation is dependent upon experience.

Must have transportation! Must be physically able to mount & ride all sized horses. Must be able to commit to some type of part-time schedule & weekend work!

Sneak peek at the NICEST & brokest driving team we've ever had in our barn! 🤩

These gorgeous boys are matched perfectly in every single way & have been together since 2yrs old. They do not have to stay together, although you may never come across another team like them!

Hank & Harvey are 11 & 12y/o, 17.1hh gray Percheron geldings. They are broke to ride/drive & are SAFE enough for anyone! They drive single or double & have been hitched to machinery. Hank & Harvey are top carriage horses! They've seen & done it all. They have pulled wagons by the water, on the trails, given sleigh rides, events, parties, wagon trains, weddings, worked in the fields, & have been driven single in town/city among other things! They stand perfectly & are great for pics or greeting crowds! Both boys are very gentle, sweet, & playful.

Hank & Harvey will both wtc although Harvey is lazier at the canter. They are perfect on the trails & anywhere you take them. Not spooky or buddy sour. Hank is trimmed in cross ties while Harvey has been done in stocks. Whether it's for riding or driving, they are suitable for anyone! They would make great mounted patrol or therapeautic horses! These real-life unicorns are well rounded enough to suit so many things! I'll include pics of them from when they were dark gray & younger up until now. (Harvey has the halter mark on his nose).🩶

Check out this young, athletic, fancy crossbred of ours!🤩

Jagger is a coming 6y/o, stunning black Morgan X gelding. He stands at a stout 15hh with clean legs & a sturdy build. He is sound, UTD on everything, & is currently shod on the fronts.

Jagger has a solid foundation already & has been started correctly. He has been really easy to bring along as he is incredibly smart, aims to please, & enjoys having a job. Under saddle, he has a lovely w/t/c. He is a great balance between whoa & go. Jagger is soft in the bridle, will move off of leg pressure, pick up the correct leads, & has been doing great so far with auto changes. He is responsive to cues & will easily trot or canter off when asked to. Due to that reason only, we recommend advanced beginners & up. He is not a total deadhead but isn't reactive & has never offered to rear, bolt, buck, or kick. Jagger moves nicely around the ring & we have introduced him to a jump. He will carry the flag, is fine with tarps, dogs underfoot, ponying another horse, bicycles, & more! On the trails, he will travel anywhere we point him & is sure footed. He rides off the same whether in a large group or alone. We've hauled him to many new locations & he jumps off the trailer confidently. Jagger will walk into hectic downtown next to traffic or semis & isn't fazed by the people, sounds, or sights. He stands to mount, bathe, groom, bridle, tack, ties, loads, & lifts his feet. He is gentle & friendly with a loveable personality. Gets along well in a mixed herd. His former owner said he started him under harness, but we never tried. Jagger is already such a nice horse & has the potential to go in any direction. We would love to see him excelling in an English career. He would be great for fox hunts, english pleasure, parades, dressage, jumping, shows, western riding, ranch work, lessons, etc.. He has no limitations! If you want to get noticed & bring home the ribbons, then he's your guy! 🖤

💕IN HIS 🏠 !💕

Before getting caught up in his gorgeous looks, please READ the ad! 🤩

Judge is a GORGEOUS 12y/o, 18hh black Percheron gelding. He is massive & is built like a brick house! He has a beautiful, naturally wavy mane/forelock, dapples, & just a presence that demands attention! He is barefoot, sound, & is UTD on everything. Judge is broke to ride & drive.

He drives single or double, but until recently, was driven mostly as a team. He has given carriage rides & done events as a team. Road/traffic safe. When we hitched him up single, he drove fine. He could benefit from a few more miles under harness before being used single commercially. I'm sure with his size & strength, he could be put to work around the farm as well.

Judge will wtc under saddle, but the canter needs some pushing. He can be ridden english or western & has been fine for our beginners. He is great to take out on the trails as he isn't spooky or nervous. Goes alone or in a group. He will walk through town next to traffic, doesn't mind the noise or sights, & really enjoys meeting folks. He will jump on the trailer, ready for an adventure!
Judge is very friendly with an in your pocket personality. He will walk up to you in the field. He is an easy keeper who stays fat off air.

The CONS-

Judge had a teammate who passed away & is VERY buddy sour over it!! His issues are mainly on the ground & to handle. Once you're in the saddle, he is fine. He doesn't run you back to the field or barn. He bonded with a mare we have & throws fits if you try to lead him away from her. In order to lead him away by himself, you have to use a chain. He isn't mean whatsoever, but due to his size & dragging or pushing you around, it can be dangerous. He would not suit anyone who doesn't have experience handling draft horses. When he's beside or with another horse, he's fine & is VERY sweet & friendly & does anything a well-behaved horse does. We tack him up & mount from in the barn & ride off. He's used to stocks for trimming, but you can pick up his feet. This guy will make one heck of a horse once his ground manners are worked with! Judge would do great as a driving team, or even as an only horse. He'd be great for folks who ride together or a trail riding operation. Again, he is beginner safe to ride & drive, but not to lead/handle away from other horses. Judge is young enough to work through his issues with the appropriate person!🖤

💕IN HIS FOREVER 🏠!💕

Take a look at this magnificent creature! 🤩

General is a 13y/o, Belgian gelding standing a hair under an impressive 18.2hh! He may be huge, but he sure is gentle & safe! He is barefoot, UTD on everything, comes guaranteed, & is broke to ride or drive. General would be great for beginners, the hubby, guests, therapeautic centers, or anyone wanting a solid & dependable guy like him.

General is broke to drive single or double & has been hitched to machinery. If you've always wanted to learn how to drive, he'd be more than happy to teach you! He is experienced on the roads & in town. He stands patiently & would be great for carriage rides & events. Load the family up for a Sunday drive or let him help with some work around the farm!

General has a nice w/t/c for his size, but he is a little more whoa than go. Don't let his size intimidate you because he will stand next to anything in order for you to mount! Rocks, ladders, tree stumps, truck beds, etc.. General will ride in the arena & is a trail pro. He will go anywhere you point him & behave great regardless of if he's alone or in a large group. He doesn't get worked up if he's left behind & isn't spooky or fussy. He is truly one of the most laid-back & and easy-going horses you'll meet. You can climb all over him, carry the flag, pony another horse, he doesn't mind dogs at his heels, heavy machinery, bikes, atvs, motorcycles, etc.. He will go up to the drive-thru or bank window, ties quietly, & loves to greet people along the way. General gets along great with our mixed herd. He respects fencing & stalls quietly. Stocks aren't needed to trim him. General is a sweet & loving boy with the gentlest demeanor. He would be great for just about anything & ideal for beginners! 🤎(He could use a few more lbs but the pics make him look thinner than he is.)

Take a look at this young, talented, fancy gelding of ours! 🤩

Raider is a coming 6y/o, 16hh black Dutch Harness X Gelding. He is sound, barefoot, & is UTD on everything. (He is a little sun faded currently). We have had Raider for several months now & he still impresses us more each day! He has been started correctly & has a great foundation. Raider has a lovely trot & a rocking horse canter. He is the perfect balance between whoa & go. He is soft in the bridle, moves off leg pressure, knows his leads, & has auto changes. Raider has beautiful movement in or out of the ring. We have started him over a jump & he is always brave & willing. One of our young riders took him to a Rolling Rock pony hunt group trail ride & he did great! An 8y/o girl has built her confidence at the canter on Raider. All of our riders fight over, getting to ride him! He has been great for all riding levels, including beginners! However, we think he has way too much potential to sit in a field & only be ridden once a month. Raider is great to take out on trails or to haul off the farm. He will go wherever you point him, whether in a group or alone. He isn't fussy or spooky. He will walk downtown next to traffic & happily greets folks along the way. He is a tad watchy with semis but doesn't react. The girls have taken him through the obstacle course & did all the desensitizing tests with him. (Check out his videos!) Raider is very sweet, loving, goofy, & has a huge personality. He is respectful on the ground & stands for the vet & farrier. He is broke to drive single or double, but we haven't hooked him ourselves. The former owner said he could use more miles in traffic, but he does great riding in traffic, so I'm not sure there would be any issue. Raider absolutely has the talent & potential to excel in dressage, english pleasure, cross country, fun shows, cart classes, fox hunts, & more! He has no limitations whatsoever & is offered with a guarantee. If you want a quick learner & an insanely smart boy with a huge heart that enjoys a job, he's your man! Bonus that he's gorgeous! We can't wait to see all of the ribbons in his future!🖤

Take a look at these 4 horses of ours! 🤩

Stetson is a 12y/o, 15.3hh stout Suffolk Punch X gelding. He will wtc & is a good mix of whoa & go. Walks along quietly but will easily pick up the pace when asked. He is beginner safe, friendly, & well mannered. Is green to ring work but is very willing & will pop over a jump. Stetson is great to take on trails. He isn't spooky or fussy. The girls ride him everywhere & haul him off property. He drives single or double & anyone could hitch him up. He's a safe & gentle guy who is great for lessons, parades, fun shows, fox hunts, camping, trails, & more! 💕IN HIS FOREVER 🏠!💕

Raider is a 5y/o, 16hh black DHH/Percheron X gelding. He has a floaty trot, picks up the correct leads, & has auto changes. He will wtc & moves out when cued. Due to that, we'd recommend intermediate riders & up. While he isn't nervous or flighty at all, he isn't a total deadhead either. Raider will hit the trails & will walk through crazy downtown. He is very friendly & sweet! Great ground manners, too! One of the girls took him to a Rolling Rock pony club group trail ride. He is broke to drive but has pep & needs more exposure to large trucks. He has too much potential to just sit around in a field. Raider would make a fancy english mount, jumper, fox hunter, show horse, & more! He has learned so much in the 6 mos we've had him!💕IN HIS FOREVER 🏠!💕

Spirit is a 13y/o, black & white paint/Draft X gelding standing just shy of 16hh. This guy is safe for absolutely anyone! An 8y/o girl rode him through downtown! He is very sweet, gentle, laid back, & safe! Under saddle, he's a little lazy but is a trail pro. He travels anywhere & everywhere. No vices or spook. Spirit drives single or double & would be perfect for beginners. He is a little lower in the pecking order, as you can see. When he sheds out fully & his crazy mane grows out some, he's going to look stunning! This guy can sit for months & rides the same. Spirit is a confidence builder & babysitter deluxe.

Sylvester is a 5y/o, 18.1hh Belgian gelding. Under saddle, he will wtc, & is a good mix of whoa & go. Due to his age, size, & not being dead to the world, we'd recommend confident beginners & up. No buck, rear, bolt, kick, etc.. Sly has been hauled off farm, ridden in the woods, through town, back roads, into water, dogs underfoot, & is always well behaved. He may be aware of things but isn't reactive. He's been gaining weight back steadily. Sly drives single or double. The prior owner used him for some wagon rides in town. He is easy to handle with a friendly personality. Sly is young & can go in any direction. He learns quickly & is very smart!💕IN HIS FOREVER 🏠!💕

🎀Our sweet & gorgeous Maggie finally had her foal!🎀

This beautiful black draft cross filly was born at 356 days! Look at her sweet face & all that chrome! Mom is a 10y/o Spotted Draft & Dad is a 16hh Percheron cross. Maggie is an amazing Mom & the filly is super sweet with a ton of personality already!

Apache is a 10y/o sorrel & white Spotted Draft gelding. He is 16.2hh of pure hunk! He has a solid sturdy build, is barefoot, & is UTD on everything. Apache is even more droolworthy in person! He really stands out & gets you noticed. (Even when he's filthy!) He is broke to ride & to drive double.

Apache has experience being driven as a team. He's done a little work around the farm & has been driven on roads passing traffic. He has never been hitched single, but it probably wouldn't take much to get him there. He would look gorgeous, pulling a carriage for weddings, parties, or events! Apache is well mannered & behaved. He stands for the farrier in cross ties. Gets along in our herd of all sizes. He is easy to handle, lead, bathe, groom, tack, etc.. Apache is suitable for beginners whether it's under saddle or on the ground. He has a nice w/t/c, & is a good balance of whoa & go. He will happily walk along at a slower pace but will also move out if asked. He may not be fancy broke yet, but we've introduced him to ring work & he's doing great! He will pop over a jump or fallen logs on the trails. Apache is a great companion to hit the trails with. He goes where you point him & isn't fussy or reactive. He will ride off alone, with others, & will lead or follow. He will blaze a path in the woods, go up steep hills, over creeks, rocks, through mud or water, dogs underfoot, etc.. The girls ride him to the gas station & right through town next to heavy traffic. He isn't bothered by the people, chaos, sounds, or sights.. even when folks feel the need to beep or rev up their engine.🙄 He's never offered to rear, buck, bolt, kick, or bite. This sweet boy enjoys getting attention, love, & treats! Although his miles are on the trails, we could see him fox hunting, doing lessons, parades, camping trips, & more. With some finishing, he'd make a lovely english mount or show horse, but could go in any direction! He is the perfect age, willing to please & learn, very intelligent, & doesn't mind having a job. This stunning sweet soul is what dreams are made of! 🤎

Look at this flashy crossbred of ours!🤩

Dazzle is a 13y/o absolutely gorgeous, red roan Gypsy Vanner/QH X Mare. She stands a hair under 15hh with a stout & sturdy build. Her coloring & looks get you noticed no matter where you take her! She is shod all around & is UTD on everything & comes guaranteed.

Dazzle has something to offer all riding levels. She's quiet & safe enough for beginners, while those with experience could take her to a show or fox hunt. She is easy to handle & even easier to get along with! Dazzle is great to take on trails as she isn't fussy & will cover all different types of terrain. She will walk the same trails on the farm or haul out to new locations. Ride her into the city next to traffic, up to the McDonald's window, & let her meet folks along the way. She isn't the flighty type & has never exhibited any bad behavior. Dazzle is a good mix of whoa & go. While she's not fancy broke, she moves around a ring nicely & is brave to a jump. She's been over many obstacles, carries the flag, is good around dogs, & the girls climbing over/under her. You can jump on her ba****ck with just a halter. Dazzle is gentle to handle & has a sweet personality. Not mare-ish. She stands great for the vet & to pick out her feet. Gets along nicely in our mixed herd of critters. Dazzle is broke to drive single or double & is traffic/road safe. She's quiet enough for those just learning. She could do carriages rides in the city double. We don't have a harness small enough for her, so we don't have videos. Dazzle would be great for camping, parades, lessons, trails, fun shows, 4H, fox hunts, etc.. With some finishing, she'd be a lovely english mount & we could see her doing cross country, among other things! This girl has the looks, brains, heart, & attitude that's needed to excel at anything she does!
