Happy Prairie Dog season 🌸🌸

We are having an amazing season and have met so many wonderful people this year! We really love the creativity of our new kyty family members, and wanted to share some of their baby names with you guys :)

All good things must come to an end, and yes, TODAY is the day for Prairie Dog pre-order pricing!

At midnight tonight (CDT), we will no longer accept pre-order deposits for 2024 pups. Due to arrive in just a couple days, these pups will be checked and cuddled and readied for their forever homes. Once current pre-orders are notified and routes/pickups organized, then we will begin posting individual pups for general availability.

Don’t miss your last chance to get the pre-order prices, before they go up TOMORROW!

You’d be surprised just how often we receive these kinds of messages to our website. Undoubtedly someone with lots of extra time and not enough hobbies. We just ignore them and go on with our day…but I thought I’d take a moment to just let all the would-be jokesters know that…

A) you aren’t unique, nor are you the first person to ask.
B) it wasn’t even funny/shocking/remarkable (or whatever reaction you were anticipating) the first time.
C) you can do better, both in your humor and your grammar.

Keep practicing, and someday you just might be able to graduate to comment trolling on innocent TikTok accounts or something! 🙄.

We have had a number of concerned reach out, so we wanted to take a quick second and say we were luckily nowhere near the tragic events of this afternoon.

We chose to stay home to watch on TV, and away from the inevitable craziness that comes with having 1Mil+ people gathered in one place…but we had no idea just how crazy it would be. Our hearts are heavy with the thought of how a day of jubilation and celebration can become a day of mourning in the blink of an eye.

We encourage all to raise your voices and speak out to . Whenever there’s an opportunity as well. These unspeakable, and ofttimes completely preventable, tragedies will continue as long as we stand behind our “thoughts and prayers” and continue to DO nothing.

We ❤️ KC, and believe change is possible. Congrats to the Chiefs and well wishes to the victims and families of this shooting.

Kicking off valentines season with this adorable hedgie 💗💗 One of our customers sent us this picture and we couldn’t resist not posting it! Hedgehogs are super laid back but also have a cute, cuddly, and a little energetic side to them. Hello !!!!! We hope you all are having an amazing Holiday season! To end the year with a bang, we have some amazing new babies on our website! These are Kangaroo Rats (also called K-rats). They are extremely rare, and we are very excited to be finding lucky new homes for these little ones!

Here are some fun facts to know about these spectacular animals!
1. Kangaroo rats do not drink water
2. Kangaroo rats have pouches on the outside of their cheeks to carry food back to their borrow.
3. Kangaroo rats can jump as high as 9 feet
4. Kangaroo rats have excellent hearing
5. Kangaroo rats need sand in their enclosures

We found out a few days ago that our dear friend, and fellow lover of animals, Jo Kelley, passed away…😭 Dear Jo, Your smile was contagious, your love for animals ecstatic. We’ll miss the photos of the beautiful landscapes you loved so much, and loved to share with us. We’ll miss your stories of adventure on the open road. We’ll miss your laugh. Thank you for being an amazing friend, and someone who brought light and laughter to our lives.
