I 👏🏻 CAN 👏🏻 NOT 👏🏻 BELIEVE 👏🏻 HOW 👏🏻 FAR 👏🏻 WE’VE 👏🏻 COME 👏🏻!!!

Penny is doing amazing! We’ve even put a kids saddle on her and lunged her. She does not care. Such a good girl! I cannot wait until she is fully healed and recovered!

I’ve been slacking on the Penny updates, But look at her go! Her first trim! We only got her fronts trimmed but we were able to at least pick up her back feet!

All I can say is WOW! Penny blew my mind today, in an amazing way! I was curious just to see what all she knew and put a surcingle on her and it DIDN’T EVEN PHASE HER! ❤️❤️❤️ she lunged on a line and trotted like a pro! AND she tied for the first time today. I’m just blown away at how well she is doing! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Just a little Penny update! She’s doing amazing! Gaining weight like a pro and trusting more and more each day! We have successfully been able to pick up both front feet and hopefully she’ll be able to get her feet trimmed soon! Look how small that wound is looking! ❤️

The verdict is in Little Miss Penny is not 🚫 pregnant!

I have to admit it is a little bitter sweet, I’m so glad she hasn’t had to care for another life while healing herself but I also just LOVE baby horses! 😅

We took advantage of her sedation 💤 and gave her a MUCH needed bath 🧼! We got a lot of grime and hair off her and she should be looking like a million bucks 🤩!

Here’s a little wound update as well!

She’s getting sassy and brave! We’ve finally gotten her to a good point, she’s gaining weight and her wound is healing amazingly! We’re going to schedule an appointment to finally find out if she’s pregnant.

She still has growing vet bill and feed bill and will be even more if she is carrying a foal.

Miss Penny FINALLY got to get a turn out today! Got to enjoy fresh grass and sunshine ❤️ and to make it even better when I went to get her she actually walked TOWARDS me!! Made my heart melt! Hopefully soon she can get turned out and not have to keep her lead rope on!

I want to share these photos with you so you guys can all see the extent of the wound we have been dealing with. THANK THE LORD she was negative for herda and she is healing AMAZINGLY well. Thanks to our amazing veterinarian Dr Mika Fredrickson and Shannon with Equine Therapy by Shannon the wound is healing wonderfully. But It’s still going to take a long while for it to get there. (Like months)

We got such GREAT news today for Penny! She came back NEGATIVE for Herda and 5 other genetic diseases!!!!!!! We are so happy she has one less thing to worry about ❤️❤️

Penny got her bandage 🩹 changed today and got a new sleazy put on! We think she looks 🤩STUNNING🤩 in plum and purple💜! She has definitely become brighter and is enjoying all her scratches! Her blood 🩸 work all came back good, still waiting on her herda results. Until then we will continue to care for and love on her. Attached is a copy of her first of many vets bills!

We had the 🥼 vet out last night for poor Penny, the Dr. debrided her wound and man it’s bigger then we expected 😱. We will have to bandage it to the best of our abilities and she will continue her antibiotics and pain medication. We sent out 🩸blood work and are testing for HERDA. The blood work should be back in a day or two but the genetic 🧬 test can take up to two weeks for results.

⚡️This poor girl has a long road to recovery ahead of her but we will give her everything we’ve got to get her there‼️⚡️
