Adams Farms consists of around 500 owned and rented acres, and is home to 75 spring and fall calving cow/calf pairs. The operation also produces and markets between 6,000 and 8,000 small square bales of Alfalfa and Alfalfa/Grass mix hay annually, which is marketed primarily to the equine industry across the Southeast. The remainder of the Alfalfa hay is put up in round bales and either fed to thro
ugh the cattle operation or sold to local dairies. The operation was further diversified in 2012 with the addition of Corn and Soybean production on approximately 150 acres. This addition has become a vital rotational tool with the alfalfa side of the operation. The cattle, hay, and crop operations all use a combination of unbiased, University based research and practical knowledge to produce the highest quality end product as possible, while remaining economical.
