Purina Sponsor Event Program
Purina and the Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America (AFTCA) are excited to announce a new program that will provide field trial support DIRECTLY to member clubs. The new Purina Event Sponsorship Program will launch in time for the 2023-2024 field trial season and offer a variety of field trial products including awards, branded gear, judge’s gifts, and other dog-related items through a new AFTCA online store.
“We’re pleased to partner with Purina and launch this new program,” said AFTCA President Frank LaNasa. “I’m confident that by delivering value and merchandise directly to member clubs, the Purina Event Sponsorship Program will be well-received. Purina repeatedly proves its commitment to the sport of field trialing with direct winning sponsorship for our clubs.”
For decades, one way Purina provided support to field clubs was to pay for their trial ads at the American Field/UKC (magazine and online). Beginning at the start of the 2023-2024 field trial season, Purina will no longer pay the American Field/UKC for trial advertising. Instead, that support will now be given directly to the clubs through the new Purina Event Sponsorship Program. This new program will NOT CHANGE the practice of providing dog food for the winners.
“This marks an important and positive evolution of Purina’s ongoing support for the sport of field trialing,” said Purina’s Sr. Specialist Greg Blair. “We look forward to this exciting venture with AFTCA and thank the field trial community in advance for their patience, dedication and continued support.”
