Forte Animal Rescue Forte Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving animals. We are a registered 501(c)3.

Adoption Events are held on the *first and third Saturday of each month* at Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies in Mar Vista. Please stop by and meet our available dogs!

Forte Animal Rescue offers refuge for homeless dogs until they are placed in their permanent homes. In order to successfully rescue and place

the dogs with new families, we rely solely on donations. Once a dog is under our care, we never give up on any dog regardless of behavioral issues or medical challenges, which often means we incur significant expenses for veterinary treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, and boarding for dogs who take more time and care to adopt out. Forte also offers a structured Junior Volunteer program with hands-on experience, run by a certified high-school teacher. We are dedicated to inspiring compassion and educating the youth about the animal protection. Many children are learning the importance of spay/neuter and proper care of the animals while volunteering with us, and some are so inspired that they have decided to become veterinarians. Donations or any support is always greatly appreciated. Donations can be made online (www.FARescue.org) or via regular mail at PO Box 10085, Marina del Rey, CA 90295. We are also looking for foster homes for our rescued dogs, along with volunteers to help our adoption events.

I take my name as a compliment since I am indeed very sweet and cute. I’m also quite an independent little fellow and pretty easy going yet alert. I enjoy hanging with people and dogs, and love strutting on my daily walks. I’m an all-round perfect little guy. All I need now to make my life complete is a home to call my own! 🏠

I’m a chocolate lab, need I say more? Ok, well, until recently I was living with a nice man and another dog on a horse farm, but he became ill, and now I need a new home. I’m very easy to get along with, either on walks or just being lazy around the house, and I do like water. One night my foster even took me out on the town to a restaurant patio, and I was SO well-behaved and everyone loved me. I can live with another dog but I don’t like sharing my food with anyone, so you would need to feed me separately. I did say I was a lab, so you know my relationship to food, right? Haha! Don’t know what else to tell you, I just sort of go with the flow, so maybe I’ll go with yours, too? ◡̈

Fosters needed urgently!! 🆘

Our next adoption event is Dec 7 at our usual location (Centinela Feed in Mar Vista) and all of these cuties are available—and while obviously need adopters, we also need fosters! Just today we were asked to take in two litters of puppies, one 3mo German Shepherds, the other 2mo Shep/Husky mixes. If we had more fosters with yards we could take them. 💖 There are also a few adult dogs from other sources who need homes, and we could help, if we had fosters. It’s especially difficult over the holidays since some of our regular fosters are traveling, so if you think you’d like to help, please contact us at [email protected] or 310-362-0321. My foster mom says Bunny is the perfect name for me because I can hop up to her bed even though I’m pretty small. She has a huge poodle whom I love to play with, so I’m adjusting nicely considering my previous home was pretty stressful. I’m crate- and leash-trained, understand commands and follow instructions. I like walks and thrive in a home that can provide structure. I also respond well to guidance and work hard for treats! I was left behind on a property with two other canine friends. Those lucky girls already found their forever homes, but I’m still looking. I’ve been told that I’m very sweet and cute. I’m initially a bit shy but warm up and trust quickly. I’m a cuddler and like to give gentle kisses. I feel comfortable around calm people. While I wouldn’t call myself a social butterfly, I get along with other doggies just fine. I’m ready to meet my forever family. Might it be you?
