Some of you have been with us for years (decades!) with many generations of furry family members! I thought on the occasion of a really fun outing last week at Trisha's farm, I would go back in the memory bank. I had the pleasure of starting out in the world of dogs with one of the best mentors anyone could have - Patricia McConnell, Ph.D. In 1996 I started working for Dog's Best Friend and Trisha. I learned just about everything I know "dog" from her. Along the way I became her training director and helped grow our reach in our area. During these early days Chelse Wagner, Shannon Skolaski and Julie Vanderloop (just to name a few) joined in and our pack is still together! In 2007 Trisha handed the torch to me and I've tried to keep things running in a way that would make Trisha proud and continue to help our community to train dogs in a fun, effective and humane way.
We had a great time visiting, catching up, talking dogs and reminiscing at the farm last week. I've enclosed the photos we snapped from that day in addition to one of me way back in the earliest days with my dog Keanu that started me down this path in the first place.
