Our lovely three year old by Rodioso out of Sofia KD (Heops/Kostolany) is really maturing. Here is a video of yesterday's work session with my assistant Olivia Carter. No lunging or ground work before the ride, we just got and and went. She is offered for anyones consideration who might like a smaller, spicy but sweet dressage prospect.

Finally I have a cute video of our c**t Revenuer who was born on Tax Day, April 15. Crazy busy and not time to video. This is a tall, leggy fellow with a super friendly personality who has already mastered loading and trailering. He is by Rodioso (Rohdiamant/Furioso II) who was a Class I Oldenburg stallion who won Champion Stallion at Devon in 2001 and went on to do Grand Prix Dressage. Rodioso died in 2022 at the age of 26 but his legacy goes on with excellent frozen semen. This very handsome c**t is out of Sofia KD an imported Trakehner mare and is her 11th foal! He will be tall, should mature to 17hh and excel in any job asked of him. Enjoy is fun filled and informal video and PM me with any questions about his availability. I would like to welcome my new riding assistant, Olivia Carter. Olivia has been riding dressage for over ten years. She has an excellent foundation in dressage that she got from her first instructor "a lady from England" who gave her many opportunities to ride upper level horses. She formally worked for Firefly Farm in California who breed and train Andalusians with an emphasis on dressage. She worked as a groom, schooler for young horses and tune up rider for the lesson horses as well as being a general all around helper on the farm. Olivia specializes in putting quiet, correct rides on green horses. She is currently working towards her USDF bronze medal. She is a recent graduate from Cornish here in Seattle with a degree in design. Olivia will be of great help in starting and showing the Oldenburg youngsters coming up from the breeding program here at Derby Farms as well as client horses that are in training.

FOR SALE; Lusitano Gelding, 16.1 hh, foaled in 2013. Excellent show record. He is currently the USDF All Breeds National Champion at Training Level for 2023 for the Lusitano Breed. He is quiet, sound and well trained and going a solid First Level. Excellent with amateurs, clips, trailers and baths. He is easy and comfortable to ride, suitable for a good beginner. He will be in training until sold and can be seen at the late August Whidbey Show. He is a registered Lusitano gelding with USA and International papers. His pedigree is tops. Available for an in barn part lease, Rodio, affectionately known as "Goofy." This is a third level dressage horse with lots of show experience who can get you your Bronze Medal like he has done for several other people. He is located at Derby Farms in Woodinville, WA and is UTD on show vaccines and owner memberships. He is a loving and kind animal who is fun to ride and learn on. He is however not suitable for a beginner, one should have some experience under their belt for this horse. He is smart and sensative and responds in kind. The cost is sharing half the board🥕🥕🥕🥕hundred per month his equipment is supplied and all farrier expense is pre paid. Owner requires you be in our lesson program. No soundness issues at all. Yesterday was Tax Day, April 15 and we got a visit from the Revenuer just like everyone else. ("Revenuer" is a Southern slang word for a tax collector that was used during Prohibition, my husband is a Southerner). At 11:45 pm the "Revenuer" showed up, a large black c**t, Sofie's 11th foal. She is an imported Trakehner by Heops out of a Kostolany mare, and he is by Rodioso (Rohdiamant/Furioso II). How did all that fold up inside of her?😀

Well it does not get any cuter than this. This is Roadshow...she is the first of our two foals this spring. Number two is due any minute! Her lovely dam is showcased in the video also, she is Starlet of Society and is by Sir Gregory (Sir Donnerhall/Sandro Hit/Donnerhall) out of a Espinette (Espri/Eiger I/Woermann). She is by Rodioso (Rohdiamant/Furioso II). Little Roadshow is pictured here at 4 days old, on Sunday in the nice war sun. She is jet black with a star that stands out like a beacon! She is going to have a very promising career in dressage. Enjoy.

The "Roadshow" has arrived. Starlet, our newest and youngest broodmare, a Hanoverian (Sir Gregory/Espri) had her first foal this morning right at sunup! A gorgeous and very strong black filly by Rodioso (Rohdiamant/Furioso II) who we named "Roadshow." The new mom is head over heels for her very strong and lovely new daughter. We are thrilled! This gorgeous gal is Raven. An Oldenburg premium foal now 3 year old by Rodioso (Rohdiamant/Furioso II) out of Sophia KD (Heops/Kostolany).She is well started under saddle and has exceptional gaits and a very sweet temperament. She is built for the petite rider being in the low 15 hand range. Will mature to a very exciting dressage mount with an excellent hind leg! I have openings for a few new students and boarders. I’m a retired USEF Dressage judge and after 40 years as a judge I’ve got a wealth of knowledge to pass on to the dressage rider who might be interested in polishing their show ring skills. I’ve trained and ridden thru Grand Prix and have all the appropriate medals but at age 76 I do not ride anymore however I can direct you on how to be a better rider from the ground. I breed some very fine foals each year that are Oldenburg registered and hand raised and correctly started and very well suited for the amateur rider due to their exceptional temperaments. I operate Derby Farms in Woodinville WA and I have stalls available. If you are interested in honest correct training on how to improve your riding give me a call.
