STOP telling people that you are affiliated with Home At Last Parrot Sanctuary and got your cockatiels from us!
We do not give our parrots to offsite people to hold for us and certainly do not allow them to be used for breeding!

We currently have these two birds newly for adoption. We have had them for over a month getting to know them. They are very chatty. Arnold is a 30 year old scarlet macaw and Rudy is a 27 year old Timneh African grey. They spent their live with a husband and wife and the husband was the primary handler. After he past away his wife did the best she could but the care was to much for them. Their daughter took them in but after some time decided they needed more and reached out to us. They are both for adoption and they do not have to be adopted together though it would be nice. They should be adopted by a male handler someone with patience and experience with large birds.

Today we welcomed two birds, their owners have passed away and the family did their very best for these two.

Arnold is a scarlet macaw who is 30 years old.

Rudy is a Timneh grey who is 27 years old.

These birds are not up for adoption as of now. They need to get settled and Arnold needs to get some weight on. They are both pending testing so they are both in quarantine.

Good morning everyone, just wanted to field a few inquiries publicly!

No we have not moved we are still located in Gilroy California!

We still offer boarding to all exotic pets.

We still rescue parrots and help find them home! I have had a lot of surrender inquiries in the last couple months and I have been working on helping all of them.

We do not do the sanctuary anymore but if I can’t help I utilize a network of rescues who can.

If you are interested in adopting a parrot please message me and I can get you an application. I do not have any birds for adoption at the moment but am getting some birds in soon and will post about them when I have the and evaluate them.

Here are some of our boarding recently and one of them is Pretty Girl our long time boarder who is now in her new home with Charlie one of our boarding clients! We are so happy for her to be in a home getting all the love and attention she deserves!

This Lilac Crowned Amazon was found last week on Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside. So far no one has called, but we know someone must really miss him or her. Together we can hopefully reunite this family!

So happy for this bird! Duffy came to us a man’s bird from a home with the man in the house was a firefighter so he was gone every other week. We took Duffy in back in January! Duffy did not like me and would try to bite. Slowly with time Duffy would allow me to give head scratches and step up for me. I was so happy because this was a huge step for her.

Well here we are in May and a man called to inquire about boarding for his potential bird he wanted to bring home and in talking to him he was on the hunt for an African grey. Well I immediately told him about Duffy. He filled out paperwork we did a visit and Duffy is out for foster to adopt with his family.

I couldn’t be happier and I hope it all works out but it looks good!

Well this past week we boarded 8 birds and the last one will be going home today. Today we said goodbye to all of our sanctuary birds that have resided here and sent them up north woth Bob Dawson from the Macaw Sanctuary. I can’t believe we actually went through with this. It was such a hard decision and hard to see them go. We are going to plan a trip to visit Bob and see them again!

We are still devoted to helping birds find new homes and to boarding.

Our boarding room is pretty full this week. We board birds and most exotic animals. We love that more people are feeling safe to travel and get life back to normal! Safe travels to all our boarding families

Second pick up for the day. Morgan, a hen one of our boarding clients needed to rehome. She was getting hen pecked by her seniors! We will see how she does here!

First stop of the day is to pick up Charlie. Charlie’s owner is in the hospital and we will be taking Charlie to the vet for disease testing so she can join the bird room. Till her appointment she will be in quarantine.

Well here they are! The Willow Glen 5!!! We were told they didn’t get along in their huge enclosure but so far so good!!!we are hopeful for these 5 to succeed here. Kofi, Kiko, Kiwi Zvyrk and Tofu!!!
