Processed junk food. Fortified with synthetic vitamins, full of either grains, corn, lentils or peas.
Cooked at high temperatures resulting in a product that is
- Lacking protein
- Lacking essential fatty acids
- Lacking vitamins minerals and enzymes .
- High carbohydrates
Promoting inflammation and disease.
Putting your dog/ cat at risk of developing diabetes and autoimmune diseases.
You can’t even buy me to change my mind!
2. Dental Chews
Sorry but dental chews are not cleaning your dogs teeth.
How can a chew that is consumed in literally a minute clean your dogs teeth ?
It’s called marketing, and they do it very well.
Full of tapioca, vegetable oil , rice, soy flour 🤮
Sugars and starches, with their sticky nature, can hang around your dogs mouth and provide a great source of food for bacteria. The best way to prevent plaque buildup is by preventing harmful bacteria from enjoying a readily available food source!
Give your dog a bone or brush their teeth 🦷
3. Cheap & Nasty Treats
Not only is diet important, so are the treats we feed. Treats sold in the supermarket and pet shops are full of utter crap!
Full of wheat flour, soy flour, preservatives , meat meals, vegetable oils, synthetic vitamins.
When feeding treats , opt for real foods that are single ingredients .
Freeze dried products retain the nutrients in the food.
Go for things like fury cow ears, green lipped mussels , pig snouts , fish jerky .
4. Rawhide Bones
Rawhide is soaked and treated with lime to help separate the fat from the skin, the hair is removed by chemical including bleach Those chemicals are still in that rawhide chew you are feeding your dog .
It’s then preserved with various chemicals, which may include formaldehyde or chromium salts.
Rawhide chews are very indigestible and can often lead to choking, or blockages in the digestive tract.
