Smokey's first time on the bench since before he got sick. He was catching back up from the lack of nutrition, but he's also at the beginning stages of the "puppy uglies" too. At this point, I'm just thankful he's alive!

His lankiness was actually sickness. The next day, he showed full symptoms and tested positive for Parvo.
August 19, 2023. He was 6 weeks old on August 20.
This is a prime example of a "photo finish!"
The judges declared the Bluetick the line winner. The video cuts off short, but Carbon barked treed first.

This is a practice run after the regular water race at Black & Tan Days. These dogs are half brothers, out of AKC CSG UKC GRCH 'PR' Scarberry's Midnite Black Gem.
On the left is AKC CSG UKC CH WCH 'PR' Scarberry's Mark Of Carbon. Carbon is sired by AKC CSG UKC GRCH 'PR' Shawnee Hills Shades Of Carbon HTX.
On the right is AKC CCH UKC CH 'PR' KP's Midnite Black Thunder. Thunder is sired by AKC CSG UKC GRCH 'PR' C & S's Midnight Lightning.
Both of these dogs were bred by us. Thunder is actually a second generation dog, as we bred Lightning too (Shaker x Saddie). Watching this just makes me smile. They may not be perfect, but it looks like we are doing something right by producing dogs that can be competitive in multiple events and even multiple registries.
