🆘👉🏻 This bunny was caught two days ago. The catcher has been keeping the bunny in a cat carrier for the past two days and needs it picked up asap. We were made aware of the stray bunny in our area prior to the rescue but had not acted on it specifically because we have negative space. By negative I mean we currently have 6 bunnies in our program being housed in our unfinished rescue building and we need THEM to find fosters asap so we can move them out or we can’t finish our building. We also have fosters who have been fostering significantly longer than what we originally asked up them. With upcoming holidays, they need to bring their bunnies back and our buildings are not ready for them. This is a stressful time for us and we litterally have no place to put new buns. We have taken in nearly 30 buns, mostly strays, since summer while also working on construction of our buildings. Four of our most recent intakes turned into major medical cases costing us a lot of money and we were not able to raise much to cover their medical expenses. But here we are with a stray bunny, recently caught, living 24/7 in a cat carrier and being fed only apples and carrots. How do we say yes when we are in the situation we are in? How do we say no when the bunny is in the situation he/she is in. We are asking for not one, but two or three or four fosters to step up to house this bunny and the others we have that need placement. We are also desperately in need of donations to cover medical expenses for Mama Peaches (congestive heart failure), Jelly Roll (severe arthritis), Hermione (congestive heart failure, several arthritis of the spine, eye infection), and Casper (arterial scheloris, severe mite infestations we are having a hard time ridding, severe malnourishment). I am attaching some recent invoices. Anything helps. To apply to foster, fill out an app on our website (not a volunteer form. An actual APPLICATION) www.RomeoRabbitRescue.com. Must keep buns indoors 100% of the time, house them separately from your other animals in a minimum 4x4 square foot space, and transport to and from vet and to and from rescue as needed.
