Some dogs are highly sensitive to certain sounds, such as emergency sirens, smoke detectors, and motorcycles roaring past your house. Here’s how to desensitize these dogs to loud, sharp, or otherwise unpleasant noises, and make them feel more comfortable and safe in their homes.

To all of our wonderful and cherished clients.

I want to share with you the increasing concern about CANINE INFLUENZA. This very contagious disease has reached Oklahoma and is a risk to our pets. I encourage you to visit with your vet to discuss when it will be appropriate to vaccinate you pet from this potentially deadly disease.

I am attaching the following link for you to read all about it. https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/animal-health-and-welfare/canine-influenza.

Here at Safe Haven Pet Care and Boarding your pet’s health and safety are our primary concern. When caring for your pets at our facility we follow the same guidelines as the American Veterinary Medical Association’s for vaccinations which now includes a two round series for Canine Influenza. This is not the same disease as the common canine flu.

Effective January 1, 2023 pets boarding with us at Safe Haven will be required to show proof of the following DHPP/DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. If you are boarding with us prior to January 1, 2023 we strongly encourage you to begin the vaccination process for Canine Influenza prior to bringing your pets. As always this is a referral to your vet for appropriate treatment for YOUR pet.

We love all of our clients and we consider you all part of the Safe Haven family and wish your pets nothing be good health so we hope you will stay ahead of this highly contagious disease that is now in our state.

Happy Paws.

I just wanted to share a few of the reviews we have received from our clients. Your reviews mean a lot to us and we are very glad to know that your pet’s experience with us was a good one.

Booking now for the holidays.

We left our Great Dane with Linda for 7 days and it is beyond a doubt the greatest experience with a dog boarder we have ever had. They literally take as good or better care of your animal than yourself. We received updates and photos almost daily during our vacation and it really gave us peace of mind. They have a great facility and our dog had plenty of room. We wont use anybody else from now on! Charles Hughes

They took very good care of my pup and my dads 2 pups. Loving home atmosphere. We will definitely be using them again. Shirley Smith-Garcia

Great experience! We left our two pups for 9 nights and when I picked them up they were very happy and in good health. Linda sent updates regularly and took great care of them by playing fetch and going for walks while I was out of town. Definitely recommend and will use again in the future!! Trevor L.
