Great weekend at HITS for Cavalier Classic. And this weekend saw a few firsts and several goals were accomplished.

Calypso and Jade made their debuts as a partnership. And while there was quite a learning curve, they finished really strongly and laid down a beautiful .80s trip to finish their weekend. They even pulled a 2nd out of 19 in the .65s.

Walle and Maria made their rated jumper debut. And they had some great rides to finish the weekend with a great classic trip to finish 8th in the Classic.

I am so proud of both of my riders and congrats to Cheyenne and Kinsey on their great rides this weekend as well. On to the next one!

We had a great weekend at the League VHSA show last weekend with some great rounds from a small group of riders and a lot of fun. Want to come join us and become part of our team and barn family?

Happy Thanksgiving to all. It’s been a wonderful year and I’m so thankful for all my wonderful clients. Thanks to all for another wonderful good year with so much to be thankful for.

Only a few days late but we had a great time at Hunt Club Farm’s Event 4 The Cure. It was a lot of fun and we all had a great time.

Jenna and Walle did the starter combined test. They got a 32.7 in dressage and had a great double clear show jump round to finish 3rd. It was a nice consistent day for them and hopefully they’ll be ready for a full HT come spring.

Quinn and Sleipnir also did the starter combined test. After only a few prep rides, they had a nice dressage test and a beautiful double clear show jumping round to finish in 5th. It was Quinn’s first time showing Sleipnir and it was a completely chaotic environment. They did great after minimal prep.

Jade and Inny did the starter horse trial. They had a very exuberant dressage test that ended up scoring a 35.3. They then jumped around to finish 6th. This was the pair’s first time competing at a full horse trial and they really came together as a team by the end. Hopefully they’ll be doing some recognized events next year.

Emily and Bullet did the Vikings in Training (intro) horse trial. It was Bullet and Emily’s first time doing a whole HT. They put a very consistent test down to score a 40. Not bad for old man. And then they had 2 good jumping rounds with just a couple of learning moments. But for a first time they did great!

I’m so proud of everyone and it was a great day supporting a great cause. Congrats also to Cheyenne, Jame, and Rowan on some great riding! We can’t wait for another one!

Time has flown by and I can’t believe the end of the show season is upon us. It’s been a great BHSA/VHSA season with lots of great memories, lots of learning and an incredible barn family. And now it is time to start thinking about the next season.

So a perfect time to say CC Eventing and Jumpers based out of Sleipnir Stables currently has lesson spots available. I currently have spots available to come join my lesson program. Whether it’s a first time beginner, a rusty re-rider getting back in the swing of things or an experienced rider with show aspirations, we have programs to fit all needs. Opportunities to show and other exciting off property experiences like cross country schooling and trail rides to those interested. However showing is not a requirement to join the lesson program. We currently have a wonderful group of horses for lessons to teach all disciplines and ages. Horsemanship is the number one priority in our program and teaching correct equitation to get the best out of both horse and rider. Spots don’t last forever so make sure to contact today to reserve your spot in this exciting growing program or to set up a farm tour. Get a head start to get ready for the next show season or just come and be a part of our incredible family. 💙

It was a hot but good day at the TWA Horse Shows jumper show. Maggie and I had a great group of riders go out today. It was a great barn family affair.

I had 2 riders doing the whole cross rails division:
Emily and Bullet had a good learning experience and finished with a really nice course.
Maria and Inny went out for the first time and it was a great experience and each round got better. They finished with a 6th, 5th and 3rd out of 10 people. I’d say the perfect first outing.

Then I had two riders in puddles:
Jenna and Nora had some fabulous rounds. They brought their A game and won 2 classes and were fourth in the other for champion of the division.
Nicole and Squid had a great first outing. They had some great courses and finished 2nd and fourth and learned a lot. Got some great times coming me thinks.

Then Jade did both novice and open on Inny. They clean swept the novice rider for champion with some great rides. And they put in some great rounds in open for a second, third and fourth.

I am so proud of everyone and congrats on the hard work and great riding. And congrats to Emma, Jame, Cheyenne and Kinsey on some great rides and ribbons!

And today we did our first classic. Walle and Jade had a great 65 trip with just an unfortunate rail in the jump off. It was still good for 10th out of around 20 people.

I know everyone had a great week and is now exhausted from having too much fun. 😂 lots of learning and some homework to continue working on at home. Excited to come back in July. 💙
