We follow the Vizsla Code of Ethics set by the Vizsla Club of America. The Vizsla is a dog breed originating in Hungary about 1000 years ago. Bred to be companion dogs for the kings and nobles of Hungary they were only allowed to be bred by nobility with only the highest quality dogs allowed to be bred. After WWI and WWII their numbers were severely reduced, especially by the extermination policy

of the Soviets who wanted to destroy all remnants of the Hungarian monarchy. Saved from extinction by GI's who smuggled some to the United States the breed was slowly reborn. To this day they are the official dog of Hungary. The Hungarian or Magyar Vizsla are sporting dogs and loyal companions, in addition to being the smallest of the all-round pointer-retriever breeds. The Vizsla's medium size is one of the breed's most appealing characteristics as a hunter of fowl and upland game, and through the centuries the Vizsla has held a rare position among sporting dogs – that of household companion and family dog. Their intelligence, gracefulness, agility, and great hunting instincts make them one of the best breeds for pointing. They have the distinction of being the first breed to be AKC triple champions as well as being the only breed to be quadruple and quintuple AKC champions. Whether you want them for hunting, show, field trials, or just as a loyal family dog Vizsla's will adapt to whatever your lifestyle is.
