Miles Getting Loaded!
Miles getting loaded! (trailers, he is to young to drink!) He hasn't been in a trailer since I took him to be gelded. It was very noisy, windy, dogs barking, pigs squealing, and he was a little reluctant at first, but after one small tantrum? He loaded like a champ! His grandfather self-loaded, he LOVED going on adventures! I hope Miles is the same way, admittedly? It was not the best trailer for this, it echos very loudly, but we backed out and reloaded NP!
Sondag <3 Norwegian Sportie, 7-26-18
These are proving to be extremely exciting, a golden cross. The grace and speed of an Arabian, with the raw strength of the Fjiord, we have some of the only ones in the world, due to the strict policies of the registry. We have the only sister team of bay duns, the mom's, we call the Golden Girls.
SPEED DEMON
More than a simple frolic! This guy means business! Tearing up the turf!
ESCHER (Asil Tessalation) Romping
Escher & Jozie playing, after the heat of the day!
SNOW DAY! SKOOL CLOSED!!
Miles is getting tall, Ruffio is handsome, Autumn Sun is a nice filly, and Ember? Her "run downs" "roll-backs" and very VERY GOOD SLIDING STOPS! underscore very natural athleticism!
The structures will be replaced this year, that "coop" is off the ORIGINAL property & house, almost 80+ years old. Tried to preserve it? But walls disintergrated. They were FILLED with hornets!
SPLASHING THROUGH THE SNOW MELT!
This is the slippery deceptive time of year, with snow melt and boggy mud and frozen fields in between. The horses learn to navigate all terrain, with the balance of a cat! Land on their feet.
Brite's Buck & Bounce !
Because of fence trouble, Brite has been in lockdown, so to speak! So when I let him out today, I knew there would be some fireworks! He had a little fun kicking snowballs at Savannah, much to her surprise! His surprise, also. Brite has some smooth moves! He does a phenomenal sliding stop, with some spectacular roll backs. He may be my elusive reining prospect! <3 <3 <3
The Competition! Yoki & Salem! 1-20-18
You see Yoki trotting as fast as Salem is cantering, and typical of my herd, I encourage a competitive spirit, which is why horses from here are so successful! We nurture that, with calling, and first in gets a reward, it keeps them on their toes (hooves!) !!! <3
Talon Toys With Ogre!
Talon was asleep, the sun was awesome! But I wanted to see one of those lightning races to his mother. I was to be disappointed, he was having fun toying with Ed the Ogre! He knew Ed was no threat, and he also knew he could run rings around him!
SHE-nanigans! A very marey day!
SHE-nanigans! a couple of HE-nanigans also! Talon, Pan, Jiggalo (the boy's), just feeling good, watch the final 30 seconds for some amazing jumps! Mares having a rambunctious day. Just the spontaneous friskies of feeling good, living the good life! *At least in THEIR opinion!* You know what they say, "be careful what you wish for..."? .....Well, I wished for some pretty ponies,,, and I hit the motherlode! :)
EQUINE AFFAIR of MADNESS & MAHEM!
FIFTY DEGREES & FEELING THEIR FRISKIES! I looked out my window, and heard them running, spinning and bucking. Normally by the time I get my camera, they are done, and looking at me like I have two heads, as they quietly graze, or gaze, at nothing, and their craziness was just my imagination! But, 5 minutes later, they were STILL bucking and spinning! So, I grabbed the cam, and despite some visual interference, the video shows horses in the prime of their lives! Happy, healthy horses! Carefree, enjoying life! We should ALL be so lucky! and me? I am so privileged to witness it, this scene, almost daily. THIS is the reason for living. This is life the way it should be!!! The last day of September, 2017, barn full of hay, winter on the way........
(((( Please pardon our appearence. We are in the process of clearing debris, and there is nothing that can hurt the horses, but it is being moved and contained, I know it looks worse than it is. )))
ASIL VALKERIE NORA
First we thought she had slept through the call in, but than quickly realized her mom (Toi) was not with the herd. We found her caught in wire under an apple tree, and I needed to cut 5 or 6 strands wrapped, thank god she didn't struggle, she could have severed her leg. And I am glad my horses ''answer'' when I call, otherwise she would have been hidden through the night, she was so well camouflaged,
BRITE FLIGHT!!!!
I love how he looked up, saw me,. and came a 'runnin'! He is such a sweet little stallion!
The thing neither of us wants to touch is the electric fence! LOL, We were both very cautious
approaching that fence. :) !
Beaning Brite by Accident!
I picked up a plastic container to toss, but it was so light, it beaned him on the head,,,, didn't faze him in the least! Pretty hilarious!
