I am very late in posting this but…Another amazing weekend for Patewood and Cherlyn Pyrs!! We had a blast in Freehold. We kicked off the weekend by bringing CH Patewood’s Marcus Aurelius back into the ring after 7 months off on Thursday. My boy did me proud in the ring and brought home Best of Breed under the lovely judge Lee Whittier. Thank you Union County kennel club! Marcus got to spend the rest of the weekend at home, resting on his laurels and turning it all over to his offspring 🤣.
Friday I didn’t go but Marcus’s son CH Cherlyns Lucky Charm (Riley) did and HE brought home Best of Breed. Congrats Patricia and Bill Stephen’s.
Saturday at Union Kennel Club, Marcus’s son, Cherlyns Griffin of Patewood took Winners Dog and Best of Winners to add points towards his champion title, way to go Wick Mott and Monique Grimm. Marcus’s daughter Cherlyn N Patewoods Platinum Passion (Goldie) brought home Winners Bitch. Karen Justin’s incomparable Dino took Best of Breed and Nancy Himmelblau’s beautiful Tasha took Best of Opposite. Thank you judge Gerard Bernard. We finished our weekend on Sunday at the Plainfield Kennel
Club with Goldie taking Winners Bitch and Best of Winners to add to her points tally. While … amazingly… our 13 month old puppy Cherlyn N Patewoods SamIAm (Cherlyns Viola x Patewoods Axil Jaxx) in his 5th show ever took home Winners Dog for his first points ever! A huge shout out to Marcella who handled him in her fifth show ever too! What a fabulous job you did!!!! A huge thank you to judge Zhida Duan. He is a pleasure to show for… gracious, gentle, clear and professional. Best of Breed went to Karen Justin’s Dino (by the way… check Dino out next time you get a chance…he is a veteran…. All I can say is every dog should look so incredible!!!) Best of Opposites went to Nancy’s Tasha with MaryAnn Sama’s boy Rody going Select Dog and her girl Perle going Select Bitch! Congrats to all! It is a pleasure to show with such quality dogs and such nice dog owners.

Wowza! This is a long one! It was an incredible weekend for Patewood Pyrs and Cherlyn Pyrs at the shows in West Windsor this weekend! So Sat the Bucks County KC show saw Ollie take home a five point major to become CH Patewood’s Plot Twist (AKC confirmation pending)! Congrats to his owner Emma Rainforth and a huge thank you to Josephine Kenney and her superb handling! Then my little girl Cherlyn N Patewood’s Platinum Passion (Goldie) took home winners bitch! Thank you judge Linda M Riedel for being such a pleasure to show for. She was so kind and helpful to our newest puppy Cherlyn N Patewood’s SamIAm! Also a big shout out to Lorraine Fennimore whose handsome Kommander took home Best of Breed to finish his grand champion title!
Sunday continued the fun at the Trenton KC show with my sweet Marcus’s son, Riley, taking winners dog and best of opposites for a five point major and the completion of his champion title! Welcome CH Cherlyns Lucky Charm (AKC confirmation pending). Congrats Patricia and Bill Stephen’s and again. Big thanks to Josephine Kenney…you are magic on the end of that leash! Thank you judge Nikki Riggsbee! And a big congrats to Karen Justin whose beautiful Limoncello took home winners bitch and best of breed from the classes!
Monday continued our winning weekend at the Trenton JC show. Thank you judge Diane Collin’s for your kindness, your humor and your obvious love of dogs. You created a lovely atmosphere for young dogs! Our lovely Goldie took home winners bitch and Best of breed! And sweet SamIAm at his first weekend showing, brought home winners dog and best if opposites! Love my sweet “little” goofball!
Whew! What a weekend. A giant thank you to “Team Patewood”…Emma Rainforth, Marie Barnes grooming, Lillian Waiters, Marcella Cartagena, Patricia and Bill Stephen’s, Lorraine Fennimore, Josephine Kenney, Cheryl Grimshaw, Monique Grimm, Wick Mott, Lisa and Marc Benedetto! Such a wonderful group of people all helping and supporting each other ❤️

Finally posting after 3 days of showing. My girl Patewoods Nokomis (Noki) was a rock star. She is the absolute sweetest dog and is a bit on the quiet side. She is much like her mother, my Luna. She is the beautiful girl who doesn’t wear makeup, cares less about fashion, doesn’t care if she is popular but is the best darn friend you ever had. Loyal, thoughtful, kind and looooves snuggles. Well my sweet girl showed her true colors. Friday: Thank you judge Edward A Fojtik for recognizing her quiet beauty, giving her Winners Bitch, and Delaware Water Gap KC for a lovely show. Saturday: another big thank you to judge Steve Haydon for awarding my girl another Winners Bitch at the Lehigh Valley KC show. And last, but far from least, a huge thank you to judge Nicolas DeBedout who saw her quality and gave her Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite s*x from the classes over a special at a terrific Delaware Water Gap KC show. I am over the moon with how consistently and generously my sweet Noki put up with my nonsense ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

Wow wow wow! What an amazing weekend at the Augusta dog shows. Cherlyn N Patewoods Platinum Passion (Cherlyns Christmas Camo x CH Patewood’s Marcus Aurelius) made her show ring debut! Those who have known “Goldie” know she was a delightful but challenging pup. She is maturing into an incredible girl ❤️. 4 shows…2 Best of Winners and 2 Best of Opposite S*x over a champion! Thank you to the judges who saw her quality (Marie Ann Falconer, Elizabeth Muthard, Bob Eisele) and a special thanks to judge Andrew Ritter for your kindness to a young dog. And a big thanks to the Newton KC, Suss*x Hills KC and Schooley Mtn KC for hosting such great shows! A big shout out to Marie Barnes for making my girl look sooooo good! I am so looking forward to watching this special girl develop!

Great fun was had at the Patewood Puppy class on Monday. (Puppies were of all ages 😉). We all get to practice our conformation class handling, mix in some obedience rally and are going to add tricks! There were a boat load of Pyrs in attendance! Thanks Lorraine for running it for me (I was at vets breeding a female so got tied up …no pun intended). Such beautiful dogs!!!! ❤️ Thanks Monique for the pics!

The adults had to get in on the snow fun! Zen, Luna, Passion and of course Nokomis couldn’t get left out of the romping!

Today the pups are 3 weeks old. Now instead of just eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping... they are now throwing in games of bitey-face! Balvenie and Twinkie go at it! Happy birthday my little potatoes 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💖!!!!!

Today we feature Patewood’s Nokomis (native American for daughter of the moon) call name Nikki. She’s a real pistol 😆. Trying to escape at only 2 weeks old!
