Dearest clients,

Let me explain this as clearly as possible. If your dog has matts (notice the multiple context) that are to the skin and are bigger than a quarter, it WILL BE shaved. I DO NOT care if if the dog’s ears, tail, legs, body, beard, etc. I DO NOT care if you “want it left long” or “just brushed them this morning.” I DO NOT care if the dog was boarded for a week, went swimming, jumped into thickets, flew to Timbuktu, or whatever excuse you have for not brushing your dog. You chose a long haired dog. You chose to keep the hair long. Therefore you CHOOSE to brush your dog or not to. If you do not or do not do it properly, then the consequence of your action is I will shave the dog. It is not my job to brush out or attempt to when you refuse to do it at home. Just like it is not your hairdressers job to brush your hair only when you get your hair done. If you do not want to brush your dog on a regular basis (meaning several times a week) do not get a high maintenance dog (AKA: anything that is not a short haired dog).

Stolen from someone else, but completely true.

A client said something the other day that confused me a little. "You said the price was always going to be $__.__" It made me think. Firstly, I don't remember saying that. Secondly, isn't that kind of an unrealistic expectation in a capitolist market? Thirdly, I didn't expect nearly every expense of my business to practically double in less than 3 months. If you need more money and you're doing more work for one thing than the other, don't you ask your boss for a raise? How do you think the person who provides you services gets said raise? Also I feel like my job is the only place I've ever known where people expect you to inform them of any price change way ahead of time. It is a courtesy that we do our best to provide. Every other business I spend my money at, never announces price increases and people just go about their day (other than Entergy and their completely inaccurate increase announcement lol).

Another nice day in Brooksville….
Gummy Breed wins breed from the classes over a nice special for another point!
Branco wins Best of Breed and Winners dog for another point!
Galleta won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite just needs a major to finish.
Winston and Sunny both won their classes and showed very well!

Gummy and Branco both showed amazing in groups! Thank you Christina for showing Branco for me in the group! He looked amazing!

The longest dog show day of the weekend has finally come to a close. 830 first dog in. 345 last dog in.
Everyone showed very well today!
Gummy Bear took a 3 point major by going Best of Winners at the Working Dog Specialty.
Galleta took Reserve Winners Bitch at the Working Dog Specialty. She won her class in the puppy stakes.
Mint took Reserve Winners Dog at the Herding Specialty.
Tank took his class in the Puppy Stakes
Winston took his class in the Puppy Stakes and won his class in the German Shorthair Pointer Specialty.
Branco was second in his class in the Working Dog Specialty.
Nilla was second in her class in the Herding Specialty.
Latches and Goldie showed very well as specials in the Herding Specialty but got no love in a very tough lineup.

Royals’s Bronze Grand Champion picture from Newberry! It’s an honor to be on this beautiful girl on this momentous day! Although I’ve only shown her a few times as a stand in handler for her, I love showing this girl!

Nilla: 1st in her class today, was t entered yesterday
Jericho: Select dog today, wasn’t entered yesterday
Sorry for the lack of pictures but it has been all hands on deck to make the schedule work!

Royale: Select Bitch for her final points towards her Bronze Grand Champion
Tank: took the day off as there were conflicts in ring time
Winston: won his class
Vanity: took second in her class

Attention: Grooming Clients

Starting January 1, 2022, I will be open Tuesday through Thursday and will only be booking a limited number of dogs each day. I highly recommend booking your appointments a year in advance to avoid delays in getting in.
