Dearest clients,

Let me explain this as clearly as possible. If your dog has matts (notice the multiple context) that are to the skin and are bigger than a quarter, it WILL BE shaved. I DO NOT care if if the dog’s ears, tail, legs, body, beard, etc. I DO NOT care if you “want it left long” or “just brushed them this morning.” I DO NOT care if the dog was boarded for a week, went swimming, jumped into thickets, flew to Timbuktu, or whatever excuse you have for not brushing your dog. You chose a long haired dog. You chose to keep the hair long. Therefore you CHOOSE to brush your dog or not to. If you do not or do not do it properly, then the consequence of your action is I will shave the dog. It is not my job to brush out or attempt to when you refuse to do it at home. Just like it is not your hairdressers job to brush your hair only when you get your hair done. If you do not want to brush your dog on a regular basis (meaning several times a week) do not get a high maintenance dog (AKA: anything that is not a short haired dog).
