A couple Harley Heights horses made the trip to River Glen for the first time this weekend, all of which met personal goals plus gained confidence through some fun questions! It’s always bitter sweet competing at the last event of the season, but feeling motivated to work on homework through the off season and hit the ground running again in spring 2025! 💪🏻

Proudly offering the hardy, solid, safe, and predictable draft cross everyone wants, Lackadaisical aka “Lackee” !

▪️Versatile all around good boy!
▪️Experience fox hunting
▪️13 yr old
▪️15.1hh (wait! Check photos- rider is 5’8”- yes he takes up leg!)
▪️Draft cross
▪️Gelding

He has hunted 3 seasons with Mells Fox hounds (2nd and 3rd flight) with adult amateur and has been to many hunter paces, hound exercises, and is a pro at trail riding and hacking out.

In the hunt field he is a forward ride, but rates well and has wonderful breaks. He hunts in a snaffle. In the arena he he is a stick and spur ride. Schooling 1st level dressage and fences up to 2’6”. He has been to dressage shows and mini trials and is the same at home as in the ring.

Lackee is a dream to trail ride and will willingly go over any terrain and loves to go swimming in the creek.

At home he is easy to catch, groom and tack. He is easy to load and travels well in addition to being a gentleman for the farrier, and a fiend for cookies. Located in Paris, KY. Lower five figures to the best of homes.

Retired Racehorse project 2024 in the books! This year I had the privilege of taking sale horse, Earnest Intent (JC Intent) who is has completely lived up to his show name. Not only is he a trainer’s horse (aka pushed to last on the ride list or skipped) but also the second of my competition horses so he deserves nothing but credit for coming out with really impressive rounds considering his lack of show experience and time. 2/2 of entered recognized events prior this season were both scratches due to life and weather so his 4 year old came out into the Makeover and said ‘hold my beer’ as he showed us his class, confidence, and talent in all aspects. He received one of the top XC scores out of all the competitors, too! Day 1 in eventing I discovered a dressage warm up tactic that didn’t work for him and unfortunately that mistake cost us a ribbon this time as both his jump scores were high and otherwise would’ve put us in the top! Lesson learned on day 2 for dressage where we fixed the warm up and he put in his best quality tests yet! A testament to the top quality horse he is and an exciting start to his exciting future developing as a sport horse! Thanks to everyone who has rooted for us and supported us along the way ❤️Ernie❤️

🌹 2019 🌹16.3 HH 🌹TB mare JC: O’Stella’s Rose 🌹 Lightly raced (1 start) Stella is a willing mare with big lofty gaits with nice natural suspension and rhythm. She has had a long and slow restart with lots of exposure to different elements and is ready for someone to continue her training and take to the show rings! Could go in any direction: brave and has been over some cross country elements, steady and rhythmic for a hunter prospect, and fancy enough for the dressage court. Stella is easy to be around and enjoys getting attention. Happy out or in, hacking alone, trailering, etc. She has no injuries or vices and currently in front shoes with no other maintenance.
