Firey needs a foster home! She came to MARS on Saturday, into an apartment foster home with no other dogs and she's lonely 😫 Do you have another dog? Can you temporarily foster her? She's a sweetie pie who needs someone to love her. ❤

OK, so things change in rescue on a dime. We are looking for puppie foster sfor 4 of Betty Boops puppies to join the other 4 going to foster care tomorrow. Who can help with a couple of these nuggets. 8lbs of super cute!!!! They will do better in pairs.

Happy Friday. This little local guy needs a foster by tomorrow so his foster can help with 4 puppies who need to move tomorrow. He is the cutest thing every with the whole pitty package. Who can help us, so our foster can help us, and this little guy can finally settle in and not have to move again.....His story is a sad one, and we are happy to share but right now he needs YOU!

She’s found a foster now, thank you! Stay tuned for updates on her healing journey ❤️

Promise came into MARS’ care yesterday after being hit by a car two days prior (Sunday). After coming into our care, she was brought into an emergency veterinary clinic to be evaluated. Due to the accident, her tail was broken in a place where many nerve endings are…it was too painful to go potty. Today, she’s receiving a tail amputation to help lessen the weight for when it’s time to do her business outside.

After surgery, she’s going to need a place to go; whether it’s a possible forever home, or a temporary foster home, who can help her stay chill and relaxed for 6-8 weeks while she heals?

We’re also seeking funds to help cover her medical bills totaling ~$3000 so far ❤️ (any funds raise beyond the immediate need will go back to our mission to help more pets) https://www.midwestanimalrescue.org/info/donate

Hey MARS Community! We will be closed this coming Friday, 6/28, for end of our nonprofit fiscal year inventory counting!

On July 2nd, we will be open for tech appointments from 8-11:30am; prescription pick ups until 3pm.

Closed on the 4th.

If you need anything for the 4th, please let us know by Wednesday, 6/26.

Update: They found homes!! Thank you!!

Meet Beatrix & Bertrand, MARS Community! Currently they’re in a boarding facility and while we appreciate the option of boarding, it’s not a home…and it can get expensive…quick. They’re a dynamic duo and as much as we would love to see them stay together, it’s not necessary. They’re both great dogs! Bertrand is MARS Alumni and both found themselves surrendered after a sad divorce. We couldn’t leave Beatrix behind!

Whether it’s their potential fur-ever homes, or temporary foster care - Let’s get them out of boarding, MARS Community!!

4pm update: Fitz has somewhere to go for the next 2 weeks! After that, he'll need a home to crash at until he finds his fur-ever adoptive home...Is that you? 🙂

Can someone help Fitz out? He needs a place to go again by Thursday (yes, tomorrow!). He’s a great dog that loves to play, is good with cats and dogs, but has had a lot in the last couple weeks, and would prefer a quieter home.

It warmed our hearts to see how many of you were sympathetic to Stormy! We greatly appreciated seeing those of you kind enough to offer her a place to stay! She found a short term home that was a fit to stay at until Tuesday 6/25, then she’ll need a place to stay until she gets adopted.

Saturday 1:18pm update: They’re covered until Tuesday!! Thank you MARS Community!!! We make such a big difference together!! 🥰

Good Morning MARS Community! We are in urgent need of your help! This sweet mom (Astoria) and her pup (Statler) are in need of fosters or adopters *today*!

If we do this...our wonderful whelping foster home (whelping is the phase from when momma dogs give birth to when their puppies are 8 weeks old) can help *another* momma and her 13 puppies that were born last night! (Her story will come later, watch for it!)

This is rescue at its finest and who better than our MARS Community to make this happen! Look at those sweet faces and help us move them today! Message us directly or you can reach us at [email protected] and they can help you with either fostering or adopting! Let’s do this!

PS - interesting fact from one of our team members: “So if you take the average litter size (6) and multiply that by the number of babies and mom we just committed to that we will 100% make sure are altered not only are 14 pitties being saved from lives on chains or worse but we (MARS Community) have prevented an additional (average) of 84 more that could have potentially lived that life. You will have to excuse me while I’m living on a little rescue high at the moment”

Lady and Bruziar are covered!!! Thank you Bonnie and Rachel!

Update on Lady from MACC, she is very scared of all the noises in the shelter and just hangs in the back of her kennel to drown it out. The staff working with her think she woould be a mazing with kids, as once out of the noisey environment she is amazing! Lets get her out of there!!!

Bruizer is covered. We really need to get Lady covered. She is terrified of the shelter and all the noise. She is super sweet.

Meet Bruizer and Lady. Bruizer is a former MARS dog who was adopted as a puppy and unfortunately both his owners have died. He is 12 yrs old. The beautiful girl with him is Lady, she has been living with him for the last 7-8 years, she is 8 yrs old. Both were turned into MACC when the owners died. We definitely need to get Bruizer out but we just can't leave lady behind....
We need to move them to foster homes TODAY! Please consider helping these seniors!
