This morning I was invited to attend the 1st annual Burlington County Prosecutors Office Burlington County Law Enforcement Deflection Recognition Breakfast at the Smithville Mansion. This breakfast was hosted to celebrate and recognize the outstanding work being done by Law Enforcement and Burlington County’s community partners helping those facing addiction.
I am honored to announce the recipient of the Deflection Officer of the Year is Lumberton K-9 Officer Philip Foglia. Officer Foglia is committed to helping those facing addiction within the community of Lumberton.

Rogue is working harder than you think in this picture. He came in to our board and train program about a week ago with severe leash reactivity and issues with humans, among some other problems. He’s not over the hill yet but he’s definitely showing huge signs of improvement. Everyday is another opportunity to highlight good or bad experiences. Keep highlighting the good for your dog!

Giving the community some knowledge about the local K9’s and how they can help support their work. The K9 Unit is funded solely from donations, so it’s critical they get these donations for training, dog food, gear, medical bills, outfitting the car… the list goes on!
