But it wasn’t always this way….
Growing up, I was terrified of dogs. As a child I was bitten by a dog and ever since I couldn’t go near them. It was so bad would even cross streets to avoid them.
If anything, I’ve learned that life takes all sorts of unexpected twists and turns and you never know where it will lead.
My story changed a few years ago, one of my best friends was tragically killed in a car accident. It felt like the ground dropped out from underneath me and my whole world got turned upside down. I found myself going through deep depression, dealing with anxiety, struggling just to get through each day. I didn’t know what to do.
Reluctantly, I agreed moved in with my friend – except she had dogs. 2 of them.
Talk about anxiety – I was terrified.
I remember saying to myself, it’s ok it’s time to face your fear
But you know what? Those two dogs changed my life. They got me through the most challenging time of my life. Through all the ordeal, they showed me that unconditional loves does exist, they taught me how to be happy again, to find joy and happiness in all the little things that life has to offer and grateful for them.
Since then, dogs have had a really special place in my heart.
But then I saw all the scandals with and toxins put into factory dog food (Purina’s dogfood killed over 4000 dogs!!!!), I had to make sure they were getting the best.
My friend even goes above and beyond to cook all of her own dog food with organic meat and vegetables! But I know not everyone has that kind of time, so I set out on a mission of love to provide the highest quality products for our canine friends everywhere.
They give us so much; high quality nutrition is the least we can do for them. This love, this caring, this concern for their well-being is at the heart of everything I do at Iconic Paws Natural Products™ .
