Meet Jack, an 11-year-old Golden Retriever therapy dog, and his handler, Pasadena Fire Department chaplain Victor Laveaga. Together, they have spent the past week comforting various firefighters and evacuees as they navigate this difficult time. 🐕 There's truly nothing like the comfort of a dog.

Some dogs love the snow and cold, but some dogs aren't built for it! Please call animal control if you see any fur babies suffering out in the cold this season!

If you see something, say something. It's too cold for dogs to be outside without proper shelter for extended periods of time. Dogs can and do freeze to death.

If a dog in need is in Detroit, please call 313-922-DOGS (3647). Keep in mind that Animal Control is not an emergency service, but continue to call if the situation has not been resolved.

Doggie Latchkey was formed in 2009 on the belief that we should never have to drop off our beloved pets at a kennel or a boarding facility. Our mission is to provide pet owners with a safe and stress-free alternative. Our in-home pet sitting services are tailored to the individual needs of you and your pets.

Doggie Latchkey offers full-circle pet sitting services, from a quick drop-in visit to 24-hour a day coverage, we are able to provide care in almost any scenario. We are not just a dog walking company, we provide pet sitting services for all household animals. Yes, even snakes!

Doggie Latchkey is a locally-owned and operated business that was formed in Oakland County and has expanded to serve clients across the great state of Michigan. Our professional pet sitters love what they do and are passionate about their job. Many of our pet sitters work or are studying toward a career in the veterinary field and dedicate their free time volunteering for rescues and humane societies.
