If you find a lost animal you are required by IL law to contact either your local police or the County Animal Control within 48 hours.
Animal will be scanned for ID Chip and photographed. If no one claims the dog within a 10 day period from day found, he can remain with the person or re-homed.
If you release the animal to anyone, except the local authorities from the area the animal is found, you can be be punished by a fine of no less than $50 and no more than $500.

He has been neutered and super friendly. No ID and is not chipped.
