With this illness in Iowa now, I just want everyone to be aware of it, and I will (as always) not be charging any cancellation fees if you’d like to err on the side of caution and cancel reservations. I am obviously doing my best to vigorously clean/disinfect every day and I’m not offering shared toys or shared water in the play yard. But I want everyone to keep this on their radar!

"They look, sound and everything about them feels like it should be a kennel cough type of disease, but they're just not responding like a normal kennel cough would," South Des Moines Veterinary Clinic veterinarian Melissa Beyer said of the sick dogs.

Happy Wag’N’Train Wednesday from a pair of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Jigs and Winnie. They seemed to hit it off when they met. Fun fact: all my other Cavaliers are Blenheim, which refers to the chestnut/red & white color.

Apparently it’s Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, so I thought I’d once again pay homage to the late, great Jana who was with me 17 years ago when I started working in the dog boarding business. She died before I started Wag’N’Train, which is why I had my logo dog done in her likeness. Some dogs leave such an impact on our lives; this sweetheart was absolutely one of those dogs!
