Look at little Freddy go!!!! He is doing soooo much better.
He is still on 3 types of antibiotics.
He is also doing his water therapy and learning to walk around with no braces.
We need continued prayers and positive thoughts for this little guy…
He is so precious and we are so hopeful that he will continue recovering and that the potential diagnosis is incorrect or will stop progressing forever and he can live out his life.
His prognosis is still extremely guarded…
The most possible reason for all these issues is not something we wanted to hear at all.
The disease is called Neosporosis.

“Neosporosis is an important neuromuscular disease of domestic dogs world-wide. The causative parasite, Neospora caninum, cycles between canine definitive hosts and herbivore intermediate hosts, most notably cattle. Congenital N. caninum infections occur in both cattle and dogs.

Disease:
Clinical neosporosis is a result of the proliferation of tachyzoites within tissues leading to inflammation, granulomata formation, and necrosis. Tachyzoites are present within many tissues, but clinical signs are most often neuromuscular.
Disease is most severe in congenitally infected puppies. More than one littermate will develop paralysis of rear limbs, often with hyperextension, beginning 3 to 9 weeks after birth. Muscle atrophy and contracture become evident. Cervical weakness and dysphagia lead to death.
Neosporosis is often observed in dogs less than six months of age, but dogs of any age can be affected. Neosporosis in adult dogs may result from recent infection with N. caninum or recrudescence of an existing infection as a result of pregnancy or other immune-compromising condition. Multifocal central nervous system signs or polymyositis are most commonly observed, but other manifestations reported include myocarditis, dermatitis, and pneumonia.

Rolo is an adorable Chihuahua mix, he is.....
* Affectionate and sweet
* Good in public
* Great cuddler
* Crate trained
* Good with visitors
* Great with other dogs
* Great with cats
* would do best in quiet home
* Energy level 2/10
* 12 years old, 14 lbs

Rolo is an easy going guy, he is sweet and quiet. He's been fully vetted and had a recent dental cleaning, he is ready to find his furever home to live out the best years together with his favorite human.
He gets along great with other dogs, and ignores cats, he's not much into playing with the other animals but gets along great with them.
Rolo does prefer a quieter
environment so he would do best in a calmer home, so older, gentle, quiet kids are ok.
If you’re looking for a buddy to hang out with, sit on the couch and watch a movie together... then Rolo your guy.

Rolo’s foster says, “ Rolo’s Energy level is about a 2. He does not need to be with any pets, he just wants his person. He ignores the cat so fine with a cat. He would also be fine with older kids. People just need to be slow with him and his touch when putting him down you need to go slow. He is not completely house-trained, but there are queues, so if you pay attention you will know. He loves to wonder around once comfortable and loves to search for doggie beds. He is happy to lay in a lap and cuddle up like a little baby. He is very mellow. I have never heard him bark. He needs to be carried places. He needs a place with no stairs or stairs that can be blocked off. He does not do a leash or walking. He does not need a yard. Would be fine in an appartment with a porch. He does love finding his way out to our back deck to lay in the sun. He loves attention but doesn’t require it. Holding and cuddling him really makes him feel loved and at peace, so that is all he needs.

Rolo is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, neutered and just had a Dental.

This is an unusual request for us….‼️WE NEED A KITTY FOSTER WITHIN 1.5 hours OF PORTLAND OR. ‼️
We were contacted regarding a very sweet kitty who’s momma is very sick and on hospice. She was crying and very worried because her kitty has no one if she passes.
We want to help, but we don’t have any kitty fosters.
Molly is 1 year old, loves people even children, dogs and other cats. She is a sweetheart. Indoor kitty only. Cat box trained and very well mannered.
If you can help Ms. Molly we will provide everything needed.

Harley is just the cutest and sweetest little guy. He’s an amazing companion, at 10 years old and only 18 lbs, he’s the perfect size.
He is such a friendly guy and LOVES to meet people! Harley is a great traveler, he does great in public and even inside stores, he wants to say hi to anyone willing to stop. He would love a family who will include him on outings and spend lots of time with him.
Regular walks is also on this little guys agenda. He does very well with all dogs, but would also do well as only dog at home. His focus are his people.
Harley is a very well rounded pup, overall his energy level is a 4-5 out of 10, he loves to play, but once the mood is calm and it’s time to relax, he is a pro at watching tv with his foster family.

Harley will do great with kids, he is very gentle with all people, so we believe he will do well with calm and gentle children. Being a senior he prefers a quiet house.
Harley is such a smart boy, he learns very quickly and thrives on routine. He knows what’s expected of him and is very eager to please. He’s going to make an amazing companion, friend and family member. You will always feel loved with Harley by your side.

Harley is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and already neutered. He recently had a dental done. He is on thyroid medications and is doing very well on them.

His foster says:
Harley is an absolute love bug and one of his key attributes is a 24/7 waggy tail. He is such a happy boy, who is grateful for any attention. He is affectionate and curious and just the friendliest pup. He likes to be comfortable and would appreciate an investment in an extra comfy and cushioned bed. He is very food motivated and loves to learn and already knows a few commands! His love for food shows as he is a bit chunky and would benefit from nice long walks, where he can sniff and explore. He doesn’t shed despite his fluffy coat, is 100% house and crate trained and is ready for his forever home.

Freddie went to the doctor today. His blood numbers are looking little bit better. He seems to be getting stronger. He is in good spirits, eating, drinking and playing like a puppy should.
Therapy is very important in his recovery.
Freddie’s wonderful foster makes sure he gets the exercise he needs. ❤️

The kitten (Syd) is fascinated by our little Freddie and Freddie loves the foster kittie. They both love Oro’s tail. (Yes, he now Freddie has a rope chew toy that his foster swapped out for him.) 🤣🤣🤣😆❤️

Good morning Freddie’s followers 😍 Here is a Video of little Freddie in his brace. His walk is much steadier and his right front rarely buckles at all. We think the nutrition and his antibiotic medicines are really working. ❤️ We are so happy to give you this update. He is getting stronger and he is a very happy little guy 😍
