Hello all!! Misty River is again hosting an AKC coursing event this weekend (Oct 2nd/3rd). Hoping you can drop by. No parking, entrance or camping fees. Bring your own chair & sun shade (or, sit on the ground in the (promised) sun shine. 117 Cross D**e Rd., Cathlamet, WA 98612. (That's 3 minutes west of Longview, WA on SR 4 along the Columbia River and across the river to Puget Island.) Call 306 916-1109 with questions.

Report on last weekend's AKC events. Roughly 200 runs on Sat....150 on Sun. The front 2 acres were full of campers leaving plenty of room for day parking. Both days, as we nearly always have, were clear & warm (as in NOT hot). The Irish Wolfhound Club of Puget Sound held a meeting and pot luck supper on Sat after the dogs complete their runs. Thanks again to the Willamette Valley Basenji Club for doing all the work of running this event. Next event is scheduled for last weekend in September. See you with your dog(s) then.
