I think we’re all aware locally of the temps we have this week, just a reminder to keep our furkids safe! Please keep outside time minimal, keep them in the shade, and absolutely off of asphalt!!! The cement as well is going to get too hot!!! Their paw pads will start to burn! Please also leave them at home, not in the car while you’re running errands 😉

With spring upon us, we want to address, and answer, the question regarding dog parks, which we get asked on a regular basis. They are not great for most dogs, albeit a thoroughly trained and socialized one should be okay, still not optimal.

This pretty lady is Lulie, she is a ! Yes, that is the breed! lol Her and her brother were rescued from the streets of the Bahamas, and actually had 24 breeds in her DNA. I commend her dad so much for taking them both on! They did not have any idea of what human love & interaction, or a roof over their heads meant. It has been a slow process to build their confidence and teach basic obedience, but she is a different dog at this point, loving life! Great job!

Unfortunately winter is here! Here’s a reminder of signs to look out for, if your pupper is too cold, as well as paw care! Paw pads can and will get frostbite! Having fur does not necessarily mean they are warm! Booties & coats definitely help!
