Tough post……Last night, at about 5 am we had to say goodbye to our sweet goat Jubilee. We’ve had Jubilee from the very start. She was our first goat, mother to the babies that came with her. She was our herd queen. When she walked out into the pasture, the whole group followed her or moved out of the way. She was the BEST mommy goat to all of her babies. She even gave us a couple of sets of quads over the years. Friday morning she crashed. Refused to stand. To eat. We took her to the vet, she got sub q fluids, antibiotics, we hand fed her, mixed yummy concoctions gave her injections, massaged her tummy for hours, but after 3 long days of all of us fighting, her body couldn’t keep up and we had to say our goodbyes last night. Our big kids tried staying up with her until well after 3 am last night and Mike spent the night on the floor so he was with her the whole time. The two littles don’t fully understand but know she went to Grandma’s farm in Heaven. They like that’s she’s with grandma but are very sad she had to leave. Farming is so hard. When it’s good, and your welcoming life, it’s so so good and rewarding but when it’s hard….its gut wrenching. Please keep our families broken hearts in your prayers.

Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays. I think it’s because it’s packed with traditions, yummy food and cozy vibes. I remember every Thanksgiving after dinner we would go to the movies, than Black Friday we would get up early, go out for breakfast and then hit the shops, then go home, start a fire in the fireplace, watch movies, go shopping again the next day. It wasn’t the shopping or the movies though that made it so special to me. It was the spending time together, laughing until we p*e, card games and bonding. All of which I now try to create for my kiddos so that they can keep it going with theirs.
We have added a ✨Wreath Making Workshop 🌲for this Saturday at 11am to help you create memories with your family this weekend. Come hang out in our beautiful flower shops, filled with cinnamon and evergreen aromas, and make some memories and new traditions. Tickets are in Classes and Events at www.appleanddove.com
