Thank you for a fantastic show. Just a few highlights from weeks 3,4,6:
was Circuit Champion in the 1.15m ch/ad and posted double clear rounds stepping up to the 1.20m.
and her new mount Carling had a great two weeks and even won the Children's hunter classic week 6!
was champion week 6 in the low children's hunters
was Champion week 3 in the low 1.25m jumpers on gibby!
stepped up to the Children's week 5 and even won a class!
and joined us each for a week and placed very well in the low adult hunters!
posted all clear jumping rounds week 6 and finished with very consistent placings in a competitive group.
brought Sale horse Commander back and placed extremely well in the competitive adults and green hunter.
and Julia Enos both joined in week 6 on new mounts to both have great placings in the Low Childrens jumpers.
Week 2 of Gulfport was a blast for the whole team!

🐴 BROADCAST LEGEND & JORDAN'S JOURNEY:
I honestly believe that New Vocations chose me. When I was looking for my next horse, I was looking for a dapple grey close to my home in Jackson, Mississippi. My mother-in-law had recently adopted a horse from New Vocations, and she had a great experience. A few weeks later a friend of mine sent me a link to a flashy grey gelding named "Broadcast Legend" at New Vocations' LA facility who I immediately fell in love with. I spent a few years working at the NBC station in New Orleans, so "Broadcast Legend" sealed the deal. I initially gave him the barn name Krewe for his ties to southern Louisiana, and only later found out that he was owned and trained by Louie J. Roussel, III out of New Orleans!
My OTTB journey began 17 years ago with "Quinn", (JC: Quick to Pieces). We rode, showed, loved, and learned together. Sadly, Quinn passed in 2021 surrounded by family from melanoma. I adopted Krewe (JC Broadcast Legend) in July of 2021. He is a funny, curious, beautiful boy that aims to please. The Thoroughbred Makeover allows me to leverage Krewe's intelligence, tenacity and athleticism to continue to transition him to his second career and help gain confidence and skills in myself. I hope our journey together will be just as long and successful as my first OTTB.
Krewe is a natural. He quickly learned not only his job, but also how much he enjoyed jumping. Going 'back to the basics' has been a humbling experience, but has solidified my relationship with Krewe. Thank you to Bowers Cone of Southern Traditions Farm. His ability to bring out the best in horses and in their riders is amazing.
