Today was the day we never wanted to see as we had to say goodbye to the very best good boy, Meteor ☄️🪽🤍 After his great career being a barrel pony, he won the heart of Susan and spent his days moseying the farm. Meteor was the pony of anyone’s dreams 🤍 kind to every human he met and he was loved by everyone who met him. If you ever got to see him in his glory, he loved living in the bushes scaring the big barn boys, holding court during lessons and best of all tallyhoing it back to the barn to be in time for dinner 🍲 To our farm mascot who was loved by so many, we miss you dearly already. We ask you keep Susan, Jazzman and all of Meteors fans in your heart this weekend, he was truly a special pony. And thank you to our friends at Dixie Equine for their support during this hard time.

PART 2 of the weekend recap featuring our superstar crew that went to 👯‍♂️👯‍♂️👏🏻🤩 A big congratulations to:
Jordan Kay and Broadcast Legend - Champions of the Open 2’ Hunters and 7th in the TB stake
Anna Bagley and Classy Cal - Reserve Champions of the Rusty Stirrup Hunters and WINNERS of the Very Green & Rusty Stirrup Classic
Alex Enos and Contento Jowe - 2nd, 5th and 5th in the .60 jumpers and 3rd in the Classic out of 20! A year and a half into riding and KILLING IT!

Southern Traditions has SPRUNG INTO SUMMER! We are so proud of our riders who competed this past weekend at MHJA - a huge congratulations to:
Hope Henry and Quintessential - 2’3” Hunter Champion
Sharon Lampley and Sunset N- Long Stirrup Champion their first time out!
McKay Harris and Olympic Legacy - Reserve Champion in the High Schooling Jumpers and 6th in the Jumper Classic
Naomi Siddall and Nickelodeon - 1st in the 11&U and Short Stirrup Equitation, great ribbons in the Short Stirrup. All in her first time out of Academy classes!
Maddie Forbes and Splash - Champion in Pre Short/Long Stirrup, Reserve Champion in the Mini Stirrup Hunters
Betty Malouf and Patchwork Seagull - Reserve Champion in the Pre Short/Long Stirrup in their first show together!
Avery Wilson and Cadbury - 1st place O/F in Pre Short/Long Stirrup and great ribbons in canter x rails and mini stirrup
Maddie Sadler and Trigger - Moved into the Mini Stirrup! She had great ribbons in both Mini and the Canter to Xrails to Verticals

Brought along by an Amateur, he has successfully competed in the 3’ and 3’3 Greens and is ready to step into the 3’6 division. Tricolors are a commonality for him, he is already qualified for the 3’3 AO Hunter Championship in September! Adding to all of that success he also has great success in the derby classes, most recently taking home 5th in the M&S Hunter Derby in Gulfport, Week 2.
