Meet Miss Sadie ๐
This beautiful girl is a 3 year old Pitbull mix. She was adopted from here as a 3 month old puppy but was sadly returned about 1 month ago. She was surrendered due to very unfortunate circumstances that were of no fault to her or her owner. This has left Sadie frightened and anxious. We placed Sadie in a foster home to become more comfortable but now itโs time for her to find her new home. Sadie is scared of new people and very fearful of men. We are working on overcoming both with kind words and gentle pets. Once she trusts you, she melts into your lap and gives the best kisses. She was with a puppy in her foster home and was tolerant of all of his puppy roughhousing. However, she may have been a little too interested in the cats in the home. In her previous home, she was with children and did great with them. Sadie just needs someone to love her. She loves scratches and cuddles. She will be available today at 12pm. Without further ado, we are excited to introduce, Reo! ๐
Reo is a 1 year old, female Husky/ Heeler mix that was surrendered in December. She came in completely terrified of all people. Her body was rigid on the cement floor, she feared any human touch, she looked for any means of escape, she refused food, and she pushed herself into any possible corner. Staff worked with her for days to gain her trust and prove that she was safe here. This video shows a glimpse of her first few days with us.
In the last month that she has been here, Reo has blossomed! She now seeks attention from staff members, enjoys walks with familiar volunteers, embraces human touch and hugs, and has shown her love for toys! Reo is a dog that we will let choose her owner, however long it takes. She will likely require time, patience and gentle words to open up to her new pawrents. But she is so worth the wait. Reo is active, spunky, playful and cuddly. She will require training but she is eager to learn. She also doesn't seem to mind other dogs and is eager to play with them. However, young children or overly rambunctious dogs may be too startling for her. Reo will be available for adoption tomorrow, January 19. Did you know we have a veterinary clinic? Noah's Ark Animal Clinic is our animal clinic that opened in 2008 and expanded in 2020. Our clinic provides medical care to all animals aboard the Ark as well as countless pets in the community. Aside from standard vet care, our clinic offers low-cost and low-income vaccination programs, a low-cost spay and neuter program for cats, a trap-neuter-return program for feral and barn cats, and low-cost veterinary care for local 501c3 animal rescues.

Dolly is a 2 year old female Pit mix. Small in stature, but big in heart!
We say a lot when you visit to not judge the animal by their behavior in their cage. We say this more often with dogs than we do cats, but Vegetable here is a wonderful example of what we mean! When you visit us, our little friend here will hide in her bed and pray that you won't make eye contact with her. She tries her hardest to show she isn't interested in you because she is nervous and being left alone is safer in her opinion. As you can see here, outside of the cage, she LOVES attention and is incredibly affectionate! You'll frequently find her on a staff member's lap just hanging out and soaking up all of the love! So if you see a friend like our little girl here who you'd like to interact with, just ask and we'll give you a hand!

Gus! Gus is a 4 year old Border Collie/Pit Mix looking for his furever home! Gus is a very sweet boy who loves people, however about a year ago he was attacked by another dog. Because of this, he does not like other animals and needs to be the only animal in his new home. But he will be worth it! He is a very smart boy who is treat motivated and very eager to learn!

Sammy is still here and looking for his furever home! He is a 2yr old Pyrenees Mix who is the best of both worlds when it comes to personality! He is 110lb lapdog who loves relaxing, but will also make a great adventure buddy!
