I spent my morning out at the Clark County Fair watching some of our local youth show some of our calves from last year. This young man bought the steer we called "Iceman". He definately put in the work and the two of them captured the Intermediate Champion Showman award and then went back in to take the Overall Grand Champion Showman - which required him to out-show the Champion and Reserve Champion Senior and Junior Showmen! Randy you did a fantastic job representing the steer and yourself - CONGRATS!

Made it through show day with the help of Blake, Courtney and Dallas… it takes a village to pull this off even with only two! Our bull and heifer will represent All Other Breeds in the Overall Supreme Show tomorrow. Even better I got a 2nd place in Adult Showmanship with our heifer - still fun to go back out in the show ring!

It's been a LONG wait but our 11th calf of 2024 arrived on my Aunt's 93rd birthday! So Robb Farms would like to welcome Thor a bull calf sired by our shorthorn clean-up bull. Thor decided to make a grand entrance by trying to come out backwards! Thanks to some great training from Roxanne Martin we were able to calmly help mom deliver him just before midnight! It's gonna be a caffeine kind of day today! One more to go to finish the 2024 calving season.

Caught up with Venus and her mom while out checking all the cows!

Looks like Zeus and Athena are showing Phoebe the ropes! Nike was too busy hanging out with mom in the barn!

Athena is practicing so she can take on Nike in a soon to be scheduled pasture race!

Zeus has no competition yet to be “ King of the Hill”! Within the next week or so that will not be the case!
