Two words....THEY'RE HERE!!!
Our two dogs from a couple weeks ago whose owner ended up in quite a bit of legal trouble. Remember them???
They are fully vetted, microchipped, and ready for homes of their own. And they are a hoot!!!
If you are not familiar with the breed, Dogo Argentino, be sure to DO YOUR RESEARCH! They need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. As with any breed, proper training early on and these two will be wonderful family companions.
Moose, the 1 year old male, is quite the oversized pup at over 80lbs, with a heart as big as his bark. He is full of energy and curiosity, and his antics are hilarious. You will never have a dull moment again.
Athena, the 1 year old female, is smaller than her brother, and sweet as pie. She is always ready to greet everyone with a wagging tail. Despite her size, she's a gentler giant who would make a very nice addition to any family due to her friendly nature, intelligence, and playful spirit.
Both Moose and Athena are eagerly waiting their forever homes. Share to help them find it soon!

It's not an every day occurrence to watch one of our dogs being adopted. In fact, dog adoptions, particularly larger dogs, face many challenges when it comes to finding the right home.
But yesterday, Tali found her new people. And she is already loving her new life!
Tali was born at our building back in July 2023, after her mom was surrendered to us. We hadn't had her mom very long when we came in one early morning and were greeted with some extra little lives. (We knew they were coming, just not that quick.)
And as you can see by the photo, Tali seemed to get extra attention from mom and was reprimanded A LOT.
Fast forward.....mama Scrappy did a fabulous job raising her spitting image. Tali is amazing. Smart, sweet and a quick learner. She's expressive, and loves everyone! And a special shoutout to her foster mom, Steph. It's hard to watch them be adopted, but when the new home is this good, it's a little easier on our hearts 💕
Go have the best life with your new family Tali! You deserve it!

This face went on a little outing today, and she did great, of course.
Mia needed time out of her kennel since she's been with us for 6 months. Today was our radio segment, then we said hello to our friend Shellie at Big Apple Bagels. Mia received her treat, then back on the road we went.
Looking for a friend? One who gives you her time and not staring down at her phone? Look to Mia. She is amazing ♥️

Dash and Trooper - both males/neutered, both under a year old. We would be excited if they could be adopted together. Trooper does better with his outgoing buddy.

We're posting our girl Mia.....and her friend Jamie. Mia is so smart....and she loves to learn. You can see her brain thinking when you watch her process the command from Jamie.
Mia wants to please and wants to be a part of someone's world.
Please consider adoption. Mia has been waiting a long time!
And thank you, Jamie, for reaching Mia on a level we knew was there. She just needs to be given a chance.

We took in a blind kitten a few months ago and immediately found a foster who had previously adopted from us. It was a great fit and they ended up adopting Fox. Thank you Kelsey and family!
Adoption makes a big difference in the lives of these companion animals! Please adopt! And please consider adopting a special needs pet...or maybe even one that has been overlooked. It makes a HUGE difference, not just in the life of the pet, and yours, but it opens up a space for another animal in need.

We're thinking of framing this photo....not just because Thea hit the jackpot of homes yesterday...but because of the humans. The cat whisperers...the ones who come in and work with the cats that have been at our facility for years...that's right, years...because they are scared and don't show well. Keith and Shirley have an incredible amount of patience and consistency that allow these cats to slowly come out of their terrified world and learn that humans can be good and kind.
Go have a great life Thea....we will look forward to hearing about your new adventures. ♥️
