The dogs following some “quail” . It was fun to watch the bird dogs find this scent. I caught our vizsla interested in this one on another video. Normand of course loves all the scents. #labrador #retriever #vizsla #birddog

Catching up on the past few days

It is with sadness and gratitude for all our time spent together that we put together some of our favorite memories with Rhuby. Rhuby was retired from group for a while but has never been far from our hearts. We are so sorry that her family had to say goodbye to this sweet girl. We know she lived an amazing life and that she was well loved. She will be missed 💔🐾 While going through these pictures I noticed quite a few of our friends who have crossed the 🌈 bridge. We would have loved to share more time with them and let them run free at the Spot. Dogs never do live long enough ❤️

I love this sweet face. So fun training and playing with him. I think both are important for healthy development. His face is exactly why I love positive reinforcement training. I feel like he’s just looking at me with the smile of recognition that he is getting it right. Makes my day. This video is of course a short clip and there are moments during our walk where he goes and lies down or he walks behind me but he is a puppy and that’s part of development and training. What we want to see are more moments of getting it right and if we see that they’re struggling looking for ways to support them which could look like a less distracting environment or higher value treats or asking them for tasks that involve impulse control after they’ve played and got some of that energy out. #puppy #puppylife #positivereinforcement #friyay
