The Davissa Horse Refuge Ranch The Davissa Refuge Ranch is a permanent home for senior retired, displaced or abandoned horses.

The Davissa Refuge is a non-profit horse refuge ranch that provides a permanent home for senior retired, displaced or abandoned horses. The ranch is a 501c non-profit and as such does rely on donations, volunteers and the community to continue this important work. All horses on the ranch are given a lifelong home and are not re-homed, sold or adopted. When they arrive here they are home and all that is ever asked of them is to simply be a horse.

Hello my friends. Well, its time to share a little news with you. As you know, I "retired" from photography a couple of years ago and had only been doing an occasional shoot now and then to help support our refuge . The fact is, I miss it and the creative side of my life. It is a big part of who I am. So, I have decided to rejoin the world of professional photography in a more involved way. I am going to once again offer my service for those needing portrait, commercial or photographic art pieces. I have restarted my original website and now offer it for your consideration. Also, because I believe in being very upfront, my fees are going to be as reasonable as possible however, please remember that with over 25 years of experience, I probably won't be the least expensive option out there. That's ok because I believe everyone should have great photography options regardless of budget. If you have worked with me before, you know my style is very dramatic, thoughtful, and timeless. That is the style I have crafted over the years and its what I do best. Also, my site is filled with my 25+ years of art pieces and those are available for purchase as well. Hey friends, come out and see us today from 12 until 4 to enjoy a meet and greet fundraiser for our winter hay drive. We will be at Bonsai books here in Cheyenne. We will have some baked goods from Mellie Belle and also a raffle for an art print and a 50/50 raffle, all going toward our hay fund. It's also a great opportunity to check out Bonsai books if you haven't already done so. It is a great little bookstore with some amazing offerings including fantastic coffees and other delicious drinks. Stop by and say hello, we'd love to see you.

Join us tomorrow from 12 until 4 at Bonsai Books located at 126 Quincy Road just off Yellowstone. We will be there doing a fundraising meet and greet to share our mission and information as well as having Mellie Belle's Baked Goods, and a couple of amazing raffles. In addition, you'll be able to browse an amazing bookstore and get fantastic coffees and drinks. All the funds raised from our baked goods and raffles will go directly to our winter hay drive. The barn is a special place for so many reasons but having time with other believers and sharing in our faith, our troubles and our triumphs is what the body is all about. Hey, friends. If you have not heard the news, a proposed Bitcoin server facility including solar panels and up to about 8 VERY large wind turbines has been proposed for the property directly behind us. The project would be adjacent to our western fence. This also places it within just a few hundred yards of the horse corrals and our HOME. So, as you can imagine, we aren't fond of this. We are having this meeting for anyone who wants to learn more or get information on how you can help us say NO to this. Please come out and help support us in preserving the safety of our animals and mission of our refuge!

New paths and new adventures.

My journey has been an amazing one, filled with adventures and moments of unforgettable awe. Since moving to Cheyenne, I have completed a transition that has been years in the making. As you will notice, my page, my website and my entire brand no longer contain the word “photographer”. For several years I have been working to build my presence in the world of art. After much hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance, that has finally come to fruition for me. Leaving behind the word “photographer” doesn’t change the medium in which I work. Changing to the moniker of Artist, however, reflects the work I strive to create in a more accurate way. My journey is ongoing and many new and exciting days are ahead.
