Have you ever considered leaving your favorite rescue a donation when you pass? We recently had a follower ask us about this. Yes. We would love to be listed in a will. Any amount would be appreciated. There is a local animal shelter that got thier start by people leaving whole estates to them. Just a thought. Our little rescue is always struggling to make ends meet. Vet bills are high. Everything from rent to pet food is so much more than it was a few years ago. We appreciate every donation! We could not do this without your help!
Including a picture of Foxey. She was the first dog in the rescue 15 years ago. She will be 16 in September. She was 9 months old, at a local shelter and was going to be put down. Her chip led her to her original owner, which brought her to me. The rest is history.

I have said this to many people...
Volunteer at the rescue or shelter you might like to adopt from. You see the dogs that come in and their personalities. You get first pick if a dog is a good match. You get snuggles or walks without daily responsibilities. They get the love they need, too.
Miss Tiger Lily is getting adopted soon, and we didn't even have to advertise her. A volunteer is adopting her soon..

Lou came to get groomed today. He was really hot! He sure loves his new Dad.

This weekend has been full of surprises. First Lou found a great home. And now Bounce has left also. I held out for the right fit. In the meantime, we helped him with his energy level by a wonderful volunteer walking him daily, and others coming to visit with him. He also went to daycare up the street daily. PAWS is a non-profit doggie daycare / boarding facility that offers this free to other rescues. It really helped him get out that energy in a constructive way. This family will be great for him. It always amazes me when it works out perfectly.

Lou went home with a foster today. Hopefully, he will adopt! A nice quiet home with no other dogs. Lou jumped into his lap! Talk about prayers being answered!

Adopted.
Lou is doing well. I think the meds are really helping him. I would like to get him into a foster home soon. A calmer environment helps him relax. We have discovered he knows how to sit, lay down, and roll over. Smart boy!
