We have been lightly looking for a new home / place for Cheyenne v. Roter Erde.

Tough decision for us and would be great if she could stay local.

She’s good in the house or outside kennel.

Excellent behavior when crated.

VERY good with kids and any dog she’s been around.

She’s done very well on upland.

Some days you couldn’t ask for more on water work and some days she doesn’t show affinity for it but seems to have improved with maturity.

She’s on the smaller side (under 50 lbs)

She’s breed certified with A rated hips although I’m not sure I want her to be bred.

2019 intact male. Exploring the possibility of rehoming him. He is NOT free! Serious people only and don’t be angry if I decide this dog is not for you.
Great around people, house broke, great coat and works hard for you.
Has tracked whitetails, great at dove hunting, quail,duck and pheasants. Great water dog. I do not upland hunt as much as we used to and want this dog to hunt.

She did it!! Ava did a great job delivering her little miracle babies today! They are all absolutely perfect!

We are ready!

It’s about time for Ava to get accustomed to the whelping box.

In just 2 weeks we will have little Ava biscuits.

Me and my girl will be camping out right here! For several weeks.

I think she approves.

We still have two spots available for deposits!

Hope everyone is staying safe in the coldpocalypse! 🙂

If your out hunting always good to keep some extra clothes / towels or blanket handy in the event dog gets too cold.

Watch for signs and take dog for run if you feel they are getting too cold between water retrieves.

We’ve only had one issue before and didn’t realize it right away but cold can cause dogs blood sugar to drop! Keep a few pay day candy bars or some dried fruit (not raisins!!) in your blind bag!

Usually don’t take or need a dog when we are rifle hunting

Yeti happened to be hanging out with me which worked out great when I made a sub par shot, not my best hunting moment 🤦‍♂️ . Yeti vom Wasatch found him 4/10 of a mile later where he barely made it across neighboring property fence.

While waiting for permission he jumped out of a cedar (was bedded 20 yds away). It was his last as once I got access found him dead another 100 yds away.

Snaking through sand hills with a bunch of blow sand would have been a long road trip track without my buddy!

Grass burrs as bad as you can imagine and he never raised a foot during the track until we were done!!!

We really like the climbing rope Jaeger leads (way more comfortable than flat strap material) and got tired of the trouble from ordering (plus I think the guy went out of business)
