Someone needs to go get this girl! Harper is a 3 year old hound mix and weighs about 54 lbs. She is calm and gentle in her kennel and tries to keep it clean. She was adopted but was returned because the female Belgian malinois wasn’t happy with her being there. Please see the letter her adopter wrote.

Harper loves car rides, gets along with everyone, is housebroken, and would do ok with other dogs who are not dominant.

Aurora is a real sweetheart. She is calm in her kennel and in the play yard she wanted all the hugs and pets she could get. Dodge is a sweet playful 6 month old puppy. He came into the shelter as a stray. He needs to learn some basic manners but he is smart and learns quickly especially when there are pupperonis involved. Glo is an adorable 6 month old female pup. She was surrendered because the other dogs in the house didn’t like her. She loves everyone, is housebroken/uses p*e pads, gets along with kids, dogs, and cats. She ran straight for the toys in the play yard!! Athena is a quiet 2 yo Dogo Argentino. She was found as a stray and no owner came forward. She was timid in the play yard but was enjoying all the hugs, pets, love, and pupperonis! It is unknown if she is ok with other dogs but we can ask for an assessment for serious inquiries. The shelter does not test for cats. Ace of Hearts is a friendly 1 yo pitbull mix. He was surrendered to the shelter because the owners couldn’t care for him. He is house broken and good with kids and other animals. Volunteers are raving about her personality, and now she has a photo to match! What a love bug! Wooki is as stunning on the inside as she is on the outside. This beautiful girl came in with family members G Mann and Baylor, and would definitely benefit from a doggy friend to help her learn the ropes. She’s close to 1 yo and is still exploring this big ol’ world. She’s playful, sweet and happy. She’s gentle and could benefit from positive reinforcement training - to continue building her confidence and learn new skills along the way! She was stuck in ISO (likely sick) and now finds herself on the urgent list. Please help!

Available for adoption to residents who live outside of Prince George’s County. Just bring two documents with matching addresses as proof of residency (no screenshots accepted).

Attention Bulldog Lovers!!

187707 – “Jack O’ Lantern” aka “Jack”, is about 3 years old and he hasn’t been neutered. He seems like a friendly boy! He is currently being treated for possible kennel cough.

32498 – “Luke” is about 5 years old and weighs around 70lbs. He came in as an owner surrender because they originally bought him for breeding, but said he wasn’t working out. He was an outdoor dog and was normally kept in a kennel. He was good with children and other dogs, but may not do well with all animals.

Buddy was rescued from our local shelter after his time became URGENT. Luckily, we had a wonderful foster home for him to go to decompress and thrive.

Fast forward to today, Buddy is ready to find his forever home.

* 5 months old
* Jack Russell mix

* Weights approximately 18lbs.
* Housebroken - doing very well
* Currently on Heartgard & Negard

* Knows basic commands

How has Ace not had any inquires? He is friendly with other dogs and every one he meets, walks great on a leash, and rides well in a car.
