Summer is here ☀️
And with the sun, comes the heat!
I wanted to take a quick minute to talk about my schedule during the summer.
My van runs on a generator. My generator can only handle so much of this heat. Which means, I need to start early! New morning appointments will begin at 8 am. The earlier I start, the more of you I can safely accommodate!
As the day progresses, the heat will start to become too much for myself, your pet and my generator. Last minute cancellations may be necessary for everyone’s safety. Sometimes, the generator will shut down unexpectedly from overheating. Once my generator is down, I am done for the day. No exceptions.
I’m using this as a friendly PSA- please, try to understand I am at the mercy of the weather. We don’t have to contend with snow and ice, but we do need to contend with the heat! I have no control over the weather. I can only control my schedule to the extent that I can keep everything running smoothly, and keep myself and your dogs comfortable.
I will do my very best to keep everyone in the loop. But, as I mentioned, some of these things are out of my control. As such, since I can only take a few dogs a day, wait times may be longer to get an appointment. I’m going from being able to fit in 6-10 dogs a day, down to 3-5. I will be adding extra days to help make up for it, but I can only work so many days in a row.
