I had the BEST ride on Flynn tonight. He has such a great handle now. Here is a nice long video to show what a great riding pony he is. He has gotten so much better at staying balanced, controlled, smooth and responsive. He can:
Walk serpentines on a loose rein ONE handed with an o ring snaffle.
Trot balanced small circles.
Stop and back on command.
Keep a lope in a smaller circle.

Flynn’s second playday was a huge success. Here is his run from yesterday at the Rafter 77 Playday in Seguin. It was a bigger/longer event with more activity and he handled it so confidently. Below are the improvements since the first playday.
He rode in the practice area without spooking at the other horses running up behind him.
He rode alongside a neighborhood road without spooking at cars.
He was able to lope in the alley.
He ran faster in his barrel run.
He hunted the first barrel.
He had is head low and almost snoozed in between events instead of having his head high looking around.

Phase 2 - Scissortail Trail-A-Thon Obstacle Course.
Phase 1 virtual submission for Part 1 of the Scissortail Trail-A-Thon.
Here is Flynn’s first exhibition run at the Second Chance Cowgirl Playday (SCCP) in Caldwell. He was a little spooky at all the sights but kept his cool! I am super glad we got the left lead after the first barrel because that is the main thing we worked on this week. I will continue to take him to playdays and very excited to see his progress!
Flynn has made great progress at reducing his spook but we are still working on it.
Flynn is looking for his forever home!
