We're thrilled to introduce Dr. Ben – our Medical Director at Burleigh Road Animal Hospital in Brookfield, WI! 🩺 Dr. Ben started his DVM journey at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean Islands, but always knew he would return to his hometown to help his community through veterinary medicine. 👨🏻⚕️🐕 Even though he is Fear-Free and CPR certified, Dr. Ben is always searching for new ways to grow as a veterinarian and leader. Most recently, he attended Blue River's Clinical Development Program at CSU to further his skills in dentistry and connect with other veterinarians in our network! 💖 What do you love about working at Burleigh Road AH? "EVERYTHING! My team's experience and work ethic allow me to see appointments efficiently, so I still have time to breathe and not feel overwhelmed while still giving adequate time to every patient and client."
🩺What is your medical passion? "I honestly believe in practicing the best medicine possible that is tailored to each client and patient individually. Every appointment and situation is completely different and independent of each other. So, developing those relationships with the owners and pets so we can work through any situation together as a team is my focus and passion."

Meet Talia, one of Blue River PetCare’s Campus Ambassadors and President of the National Association for Black Veterinarians Club at Mississippi State University! 👋 Being a part of the Association's founding executive board, Talia has played a vital role in both developing the Association to help create more opportunities for minorities pursuing veterinary medicine and expanding their network. ⚕️🩺 Talia is also consistently involved in her community, working with the Association to provide tutoring sessions at the Boys & Girls Club, sponsoring school supply drives, and hosting speakers throughout the semester to help minority students gain exposure to the vet industry.
