Well.. unfortunately a great calamity/tragedy struck the Pantry on Friday and things don't look good!
My car just completed died out Friday evening and thankfully my son was able to get it somewhere safe on the side of the road. Even after the great kindness of a random stranger, a wonderful friend, and my dad, it wasn't able to be fixed. Seems like the issues were caused by a faulty oil change. (Which is a shame as the shop is local for me) I'm m very on top of car maintenance for everything but when things were being checked, just a smidgen of black goo remained for the oil!!
I was able to get it towed home safely but with virtually no resources for repair, there it sits! I can't work obviously and walking, along with my electric scooter can only get me so far. If anyone has any thoughts/ideas/suggestions/etc. , or even knows of a kind mechanic out there.. please let me know!

All are welcome to enjoy a home cooked meal at lunch time tomorrow in Lockport.. please see the flyer for more details. There will also be some pet food available for those in need via "Pickles Pet Project" which is a program of Forget Me Not Animal Rescue (a group I proudly foster for/am affiliated with). I will actually be there volunteering during that time as well.

This is always a fun night out put on by the Roamin' Chariots Car Club and I'm looking forward to attending this Saturday. Need help feeding your pets? Rescue Pack is on the road again! We’ll be in Rolling Meadows, IL hosting a drive-through pet food pantry stocked with cat and dog food.

✨ Everyone is Welcome: There are no residency restrictions.
🍁 Let us share the spirit of gratitude and giving—just drive up, and we’ll load the food directly into your car.

Together, we can make this season special for every pet and their family. 🐕🐈💛 We’ll be onsite until supplies run out.

We’ve partnered with Fetching Tails Foundation and Cook County Sheriff's Office "Tails of Redemption" to bring this pantry to you. We'll be filling the bowls and bellies of pets in need.

I've had a number of foster kittens spayed/neutered by SNIP Society over the years and they've always received good care!

In addition to our low cost annual health and wellness visits, we are now taking appointments for sick pets. Not all sick animals will be able to be seen by us, but if your pet is sick, give us a call.

Having surgery or a dental with us? Come in for a pre-surgical exam. We can run blood work and give a check-up to make sure everything looks good before the big day.
