The adults can grow as long as 10 to 12 inches in length and look kind of like angel hair pasta.

If you have any dairy cows or know any dairy farmers, I'm sure they've been informed but be aware of the new mandatory testing of lactating dairy cows for Highly Pathogenic Influenza A (HPIA) H5N1

USDA APHIS published a federal order requiring the following actions, effective Monday, April 29:

• Mandatory testing for interstate movement of dairy cattle - Prior to interstate movement, lactating dairy cattle are required to receive a negative test for Influenza A virus at an approved National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) laboratory using a NAHLN-approved assay (currently only PCR on milk).

I posted last May when I had heard about Clemson adding a veterinary school but it's exciting for South Carolina students dreaming of an opportunity to apply for veterinary school, so I'm sharing again. They'll now have a vet school close by!

Santa is cleared for entry into the USA for Christmas! Reindeer are healthy and found to be free of disease. All animals crossing the borders from other countries into the USA and crossing state to state are required to be inspected by a USDA-APHIS accredited veterinarian who issues a health certificate (Certified Veterinary Inspection). Questions about inspections: you can go to the APHIS website to find more information about imports/exports and traveling with pets.

Tap on the picture and you can read the cutest message from USDA-APHIS

Enjoy! I sure did! Merry Christmas everyone!
