UPDATE on FRANK!!! Frank's foster mama Terra who is a professional dog trainer and certified Vet tech send a video of Frank after surgery. He has started his physical therapy and the bills are continuing to come in. We found out that he also has a healing broken jaw that at this time we don't have to do anything with but might need to pull a couple of teeth when we get him neutered at a later date. The Veterinary would like us not to neuter him until his growth plates have closed so we will be doing an adoption contract with that stipulation as a condition of adoption. Tiny Tails will still be paying for the neuter and any dental work that needs to be done at that time. If you can help out with Franks vet bills please donate on the link above. We are accepting adoption applications for Frank but it will be 5-6 more weeks most likely before he will be ready to go home.
Good Sunday Morning to you all. Yesterday was our Bowling fundraiser for our emergency medical fund. It was so much fun and we had a full house. Couple of last minute people couldn't make it but we were able to fill in with some walk ins that wanted to join in the fun. Thank you to The Bozeman Bowl for allowing us to take over their venue for the day. We are now focused on the Strikes for Strays bowling event on May 18th. I have four lanes available for that event. we can put singles, couples, groups of up to 6 people on a lane. We will have the 50/50 raffle, the silent auction, refreshments. Lots of door prizes, good music, and of course no tap bowling (9 or ten pins on the first ball counts as a strike) All levels of bowlers are welcome. Anyone 16 years or older can bowl. Yesterday we had teams from Ace Owenhouse Ace Hardware and from Béquet Confections come out to play with us. Great team building event for local businesses. Thank you to everyone that came out and made this event a success.
Please meet Panda. We received a call from his owners yesterday afternoon. They were traveling through Montana, with this 3 week old bottle baby, from CA. We (Tiny Tails) offered to take him in. Upon arrival his body temp was up a bid and we were able to get him cooled off and settled in. Owner said that he is Large Mixed breed puppy. Panda had a good night, is eating and voiding. We will post more updates on him as he grows. He is being fostered with our Director Diana in our NICU in Manhattan. When he is old enough and has a health clearance from our vets office he will be available for adoption. In the mean time Diana will bottle feed him and provide him everything he needs to be happy and healthy. He has an intake check up with Alpenglow Animal Hospital in Bozeman, on Monday.
Please meet Penny:
Go to Tiny Tails K-9 rescue web page to fill out application.
Her DNA: Cocker Spaniel, Dachshund, Poodle, Chihuahua, Italian Greyhound
Good with: kids, other dogs, cats
Not Good with: poultry
Age: 1 (as of March)
Spayed: Yes 👏
Location: Helena
Penny has a sweet disposition and loves people. She is potty trained, mostly leash trained (off leash needs work), recall needs work (50/50), does well not in a crate both at night/during the day and if she is left at home whilst running errands etc. She, however, needs a fully fenced yard. Having someone at home most of the time is essential, she will not do well being left for long periods of time on a daily basis. Penny has a tendency to chew when bored or mad, it’s never major things - the kids toys that are left out, something left in a garbage can.
Likes: playing in our creek, finding sticks to chew, lots and lots of affection (belly rubs, letting her sit by you on the couch and of invited she would love to be a sleeping buddy), walks, being the star.
Dislikes: taking a bath, going near when she has a bone, car rides (she tolerates them and depending on the turbulence can make her sick).
Quickly update on the orphan litter. I went over today and took some wormer. They are now six weeks old getting around great the runt is over 3 pounds now and the rest of the litter is over 5 pounds. The family that owns this letter believes they have homes for all except one male, and she will let me know if that puppy becomes available when it’s time for them to go home. The next update on these babies will be when they get their first vaccinations. Everybody looks healthy and happy. Very excited that these babies are in such good condition after starting off without a mama.
Went over and checked on the orphan newborns. Everybody seems to be doing well. The runt is still a little concern of mine. He is just now the size of the rest of the litter when they were first born at 11.5 ounces so he’s playing catch-up and trying to keep up he’s eating well and voiding properly and I think with time he will finally catch up to the rest of his litter was good to see everybody, fat and happy.
Jelly Bean is looking for her forever family. She came into rescue as a feral cat, when she was found to have a litter of kittens in nasty Montana weather. Lindsey brought her and her kittens in and got them all safe and vetted. The kittens have all been adopted now, so now, it is Jelly Beans turn. She is a young girl. She is okay with dogs and other cats, she loves to be handled but not comfortable with being picked up. (yet) She has become a real Jem. If you think you would like to add this young girl to your family please let me know. or go to WWW.TinyTailsK-9Rescue.com and fill out an cat/kitten adoption form that is available under the applications and forms link. Jelly Bean is being fostered in Helena, Montana. She is fully vetted and ready for her happily every after. Jelly Bean is a Tiny Tails cat.
Update on Pearl. Here is a video of her interacting with her foster siblings. She is ready for adoption. Spayed, current on vaccinations, house trained and is being fostered by professional dog trainer. She still has some work to be done, so were looking for a family that will work with her to Terra. More photos to be posted.

Rose looking for her breakfast this morning
Lily made her trip home last night. She put up a very good fight for her life. We were doing tube feedings. Supplemental colostrum gel. Caro syrup. Sub Q fluids, Oxygen, incubator heat with humidifier. After she crashed yesterday at about 11:30 in the morning. Cranked up the heat on the incubator try to get her body temperature up. And as hard as I tried unless she was wrapped in a warm towel her temperature kept plummeting. About 2 AM I have been sitting by them watching the incubator since about 10 PM never leaving their side. She started to make some noise and move a bit. I offered her a bottle which she refused. Wasn’t time to tube feed her so I put her in a warm towel against my chest and we sat and we rocked and I sang to her. I felt a little body gets stiff and then go to Lemp. My first instinct was to try CPR, I laid her on the bed and I could see that she just didn’t have any more fighting her so I let her go. Rick will give her a proper burial under the shade tree where my little pepper is buried. I am very heartbroke. you don’t take on these cases lightly, they are true labor of love. And I hate to lose any baby. Young or old. I gave it my all I don’t know what else I could’ve done for her. I am sorry, Little Rose seems to be doing OK. She is back on her bottle and off of the tube feeding. She was very active this morning and did a nice poop for me. Short video of her looking for her bottle, below.
