Our top priority is always to keep pets with their families, but unfortunately, that’s not always possible. This is one of those situations where the owner, despite all offered support, truly felt that keeping her beloved dog was no longer a feasible option. Today was filled with many tears, but we promised to do everything we can to help this sweet senior feel better and find a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years.

However, we need your help to make this happen. Our immediate focus is on grooming, dental care, and neutering. His vet and grooming appointments are already scheduled, but we greatly need your financial support to cover these costs.

We can’t wait to see how much better he’ll look and feel by the end of this week—and we’ll be sure to share photos once his transformation is complete! Thank you for your support!

Loading up to head to PA!

Our team has put in the work, and tomorrow night 15 dogs will get on the van and head north because of it. Our fosters, our rescue partner in PA, our local partners, shelter volunteers, vet clinics, and more— all made this happen. Now we need the final piece of the puzzle, which is money for their bus tickets! We need to turn the entire board of squares GREEN ($10/square) in order to cover the cost of getting these guys up to Pennsylvania.

It’s been a minute since we shared an update on Ms. Charlee, and being that she just celebrated her 5th Gotcha Day with her family we figured this was the perfect opportunity!

Charlee (fka Charlotte) was a CACC Med Case back in 2019. Your support enabled us to get her to where she is today- loved, cherished, and never going a day without all of her needs being met! Thank you to everyone who continues to support us day in and day out and thank you to her sweet mama for loving her so well!

$6 Saturday! Can you skip your morning coffee today to help cover Goober and Bruno’s vet bills?

Here’s the scoop on these former CACC babies:

🐾 Goober’s vet expenses totaled around $400. This covered his neuter, heartworm test, preventatives, dewormer, and cherry eye surgery.

🐾 Bruno’s vet care was nearly $400 as well, including his neuter, heartworm test, a thorough round of deworming (he was absolutely full of parasites!), preventatives, and a few nights of boarding until we found him a foster. Unfortunately, he needed an additional vet visit for a stubborn skin issue, which added another $350 to his bill.

We really need your support to cover these costs so that we can keep our transport funds in the positive and continue helping more dogs in our community. If you’re able to donate, please include “WIT” (Whatever It Takes- Transfurs) in the memo, so we can direct your contribution to the right place.

We’re incredibly grateful to our vet partners who provide us with generous discounts—these costs could have been much higher without their support.

Sharing again in hopes of reaching the right people 🤞🏼

Hey, you. Yes you! Do you have the ability to take in a really cute, really sweet house guest for just two weeks? If so, we have 2 ideal candidates waiting for a couch to crash on!

We saved Bruno & Goober from Columbus Animal Care & Control Center yesterday. Both were taken straight to the vet where they are getting all the care they need to prepare for their transport north in a few weeks! Starting Monday, they will need foster homes to crash at until 11/15 when they head up to Pennsylvania.

Both boys are 1-2 years old, around 40 lbs, dog friendly, and very affectionate! Let us know if you can help. Fosters must be located in or around Columbus, GA! We will provide all supplies, food, etc.

✨ HELP SUPPORT A LOCAL PET OWNER & BREAST CANCER WARRIOR✨

When Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer, she prepared to face it head-on. But there was one worry on her mind: finding short-term placement for her four-legged best friend, Natalie, while she went through surgery and recovery. Thanks to a Facebook post shared to us by one of our fosters, we were able to step in and help!

Sarah qualified for our Owner Support Program, so we quickly arranged for Natalie to stay with our wonderful partners at Macon Road Veterinary Clinic. After a few weeks apart, Natalie was reunited with her mom last week and is now right by Sarah’s side as she bravely continues her recovery.

Sarah has called us her heroes—but it’s clear to us who the real hero is. Sarah’s strength and resilience inspire us all, and it’s our privilege to support her journey as she fights to beat cancer. We’re here for her and Natalie, every step of the way—and we’d love for you to join us in helping them, too.

Natalie’s boarding cost totaled around $360, a small price for the joy of reuniting this sweet pair. Our goal is to cover this bill through this post.
