We are so excited to announce that we are having babies! No, not the human kind, but the puppy kind! Bailey (owned by Dr. Tami Waterman) and Cody (also owned by veterinarian, Dr. Troy Osborne) will be having a litter the first week of April. Both are AKC Labrador Retrievers with sweet, mellow, loving dispositions. The father has recently received his Senior Hunting Title. They weigh between 70-80lbs. Please message me if you are interested in one of these black or yellow puppies!

2-3 day flexible schedule for skilled veterinary assistant or RVT with 2 years experience in the veterinary field. Jobs include monitoring anesthesia, blood draws, animal handling, x-rays, maintaining mobile RV Vet Truck. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Applicant must be reliable, have a positive attitude and friendly. With an RVT license you may have the opportunity to take tech appts in the field with an assistant. Work closely with veterinarian by responding to voice mails and text messages for our mobile veterinary practice. Duties also include clerical duties, such as calling in scripts to pharmacy, making appointments and checkin in on clients. Reliable, efficient and friendly disposition a must. Applicant must have experience in the field of veterinary medicine. Opportunities to work in the field with clients and patients also available depending on the applicant. Katie, our RVT, and Chloe, our Vet Assistant, are going out today to service our “tech appointments.” These are patient only appointments for brief visits such as vaccines, a**l gland expression, nail trims, fluid therapy, suture removal, etc. We’re excited to be able to offer this service to our community.

Want to really make a difference in the lives of people and pets in Santa Maria/Orcutt area? We are not like a typical veterinary practice. We have the opportunity to meet and serve our clients at their homes when they or their pets are not able to transport their pet to a veterinary hospital. Because of the growing need for mobile veterinary services, we are in need of filling the following positions:
1. Veterinary Administrative Assistant is in need to help communicate with clients, schedule appointments, and manage inventory. This job requires an individual to have communication, typing, texting and computer skills. Must have experience in the field of veterinary medicine and google maps, in order to effectively communicate with clients about their pets condition and triage messages. This is a part-time position with ability to advance to a full-time office manager for the right individual. The work schedule consists of four to five, 4-6 hour work days. Opportunity may also be available to assist veterinarian on appointments depending on skill and as needed. No night, weekend, or holiday shifts.
2. Veterinary Assistant and/or Registered Veterinary Technician- Part time position available to assist the doctor 1-3 days per week on appointments on the mobile truck and with a veterinary assistant at clients homes as tech appointments. This is a position with a potential flexible schedule depending on the applicants experience and hours available.
Applicants must be dependable, flexible, a multi-tasker, have integrity, good work ethic, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

We had fun visiting Kona and Ginger today. While Ginger was getting her puppy exam and shots, Kona sat in my front seat. She didn’t want to leave her new best friend! So sweet!
