Edward got happy mail! His lead rope came, so naturally he had to try it on! It has officially been taste tested, sniff tested, color matched to some face paint (mud), and made all the other horses at his barn just a tiny bit jealous! Edward, you are a handsome boy with your new lead rope!

Make sure to stop by the Valley City Eagles Club tomorrow between 10 and 3 and check out my DOG TREATS! That's right! I will have homemade dog treats tomorrow in three different flavors! The Pumpkin Banana and the Sweet Potato Treats come as either large biscuits (12 count) or small bites (50 count). The Cranberry Peanut Cookies come in one size (18 count). They will all be $7/bag. All threats are made with human grade, pet safe ingredients in a home kitchen and they are 100% pup approved (even by my picky eater!). This is just a trial run, so quantities are limited. Stop by and pick some up and let me know if your pup gives them 5 paws!

Vendor show season is coming up fast and that means the holidays are too! We made some homemade horse treats today and they were a hit! We are considering adding dog treats and horse treats for the holiday season. Let me know what you think of this idea below!

I have videos of all everybody eating their treats, but Facebook won't let me upload them for whatever reason.😭

"Why does your stuff cost so much? I could make it cheaper. My kid has some paracord laying around."

I, along with most crafters across any niche, have heard this remark and others similar. Since we are heading into the holiday show season, this post is to tell you why my prices are what they are.

Paracord is not terribly expensive. I'll be upfront about that, because a quick google search will tell you as much. The right type of clips and buckles, now those can get fairly spendy fairly quick. Add in specialized tools and supplies to make my process go smother such as jigs and fids, that more expense.

Despite all of those expenses, I do my best to keep my items priced as low as possible. So where does most of the cost come from? My labor, love, and expertise.

You wouldn't trust some random guy down the block to fix the brakes on your car just because they have an air wrench. Same goes for craft items, just because you have the same supplies laying around at home, does not mean you have the same skill and techniques that we have spent years and many tears honing.

My mom has been helping me get ready for Fort Ranson show next weekend and I was teaching her how to make dog leashes. The maroon and black one in the picture was right after I had to unbraid 3 feet of braid, because it wasn't right. My mom felt bad for me having to tear it out, but I'd be lying if I said that I haven't tore out many of my own leashes because I mess them up.

The first thing she asked me was, "how much do you charge? Because it's not enough."

Remember that the next time you go to a craft show and think, "I could make it cheaper."

Maybe you could, but would it hold up to the same quality work that you see crafters selling?

The best thing about custom tack, is that you can get a perfect fit for your horse that has proven to be a tad difficult! P***a, you are going to be the envy of the barn with your new halter! (As if you weren't already!🥰)
