I love this picture of Loki with our youth volunteer, Sydney. Loki came to us extremely nervous from the Stroud Oklahoma feed lot, with the help of the Cloud Foundation. Loki is a once wild mustang from Oregon. Loki had suffered from some sort of trauma to his left eye leaving him blind in that eye. He was ridden through the auction however, gaining his trust, and making him comfortable is much more important to us then assessing his riding ability. He is 23 years old and would love a companion home. A person willing to take the time needed to gain his trust. He prefers the company of geldings. He is around 14.1hh, and is a very easy keeper. He is located at the Song Strong Sanctuary in Guilford.

Tomorrow, 8/21/21, we will be outside of Agway in North Branford, CT. We will be there at 10:30 am. Be sure to visit us, and see some of our available horses, learn about the therapy programs we have at the Song Strong Sanctuary, and consider purchasing something off of our wish list at Agway. If you don't want to donate money, Agway has shavings we need, hay, and alfalfa pellets. Hope to see you there!!

On September 26th from 10-3pm we will be hosting a driving clinic. 100% of your fee will be donated to our organization. Schedule is 10-12pm classroom, 12-1pm lunch, 1-3pm with horses. Email us at [email protected] to reserve your spot. The fee is $100. Half of the cost is due now to reserve, and the other half is due the day of.

what a wonderful wonderful thing for a rescue and all the animals they will help...

Last week we received an email that brought us to our knees. KNEES y’all.

We are still “a baby” rescue in our minds and only 4 years old. We have so many hopes and dreams and things we need and want for the rescue. We have made do, added things as we could. And God knows we have struggled. But we have always tried to grow and improve.

That email, was from the Leslie Alexander Foundation. I still don’t know how they found out about us, and if you played a part in that, thank you. The representative said, that a donation in the amount of 50,000 dollars had been approved to send to our organization.

50,000???????? Dollars?! Surely not. She replied and said “Mr. Alexander has a special bond with horses, and loves supporting small rescues. I hope this will help you make an even bigger impact on so many precious lives. Thank you for all that you do!”

We are still in shock and didn’t want to announce until we actually received the donation. It was in the mail this morning 😭❤️.

Y’all know that we have to fundraise for so much, and we want to use this donation in a way that will improve the rescue long term. Facility improvements, small equipment, there is so much that we need to do and this is the blessing of a lifetime for us. We will have to take a minute and actually weigh out what will help the horses the most.

I just had to share this with y’all. You all are the ones who have carried us this far and every dollar is precious to us. This is just an amazing blessing that we want to utilize to the best of our ability.

We have named a beautiful, broken, horse in your honor Mr. Alexander and I hope we can make you proud for blessing us ❤️.
