Y’all. Let me tell you a little story about a full circle moment.
In 2020 I was sitting at home collecting what to me was an excessive amount of money, and mostly spending it on boxed wine delivered from WalMart because the world was ending. I also fell in love with .hikes art. Art from a thru hiker who managed to channel all her experiences through a brush to make these portals for thru hikers to go back to the moments that changed them forever. I had to have one. I needed my friends to have their own. I love my art from Abstract more than I can say.
Abstract wasn’t as well known then as she is now. She took off! You can find her art in REI’s, Outdoor magazines, and in the hearts of the the thru hiking community who loves her. Through the years, it’s been Abstract that I have my random 3 am conversations about life with. I was so proud of her for taking the energy of thru hiking and channeling it into a lucrative business that brought her joy.
Well, four long years and many miles later, I am lucky enough to have found the inspiration to start my own business, channeling the energy that I received from the three Triple Crown trails. I get to take dogs and show them my favorite places now. I see Roan Mountain, and the stars from my favorite secret campsites. I see sunrises and sunsets, and remember the folks I shared them with. I see and remember all of this with my new logo.
Now, I get to make connections with like minded folks, and the service we provide is loving something and caring how they feel. I get paid to bring joy into the world, from myself, the dogs, and their moms and dads. I could not possibly be more grateful.
During one of our 3 am chats, I mentioned to Abstract that I was struggling with the design and editing part of trying to market my new business. My business cards and flyers have been what I could throw together with Canva.
Now, we come full circle. Abstract took the time to make this logo for me. She gave back from me buying those commissions all those years ago, and provided me with this beautiful art to represent my new business.
